Yesterday and today are the hottest June days since the beginning of records.
I only wanted to drive my car to the Mr. Wash for cleaning inside & out and my engine overheated.
I had to stop the engine at red lights and even put the AC to super-hot.
But it wasn't enough. The car didn't get cooler.
So I stopped at a suit making shop and asked them if I can borrow their watering can to refill the water and they helped me out.
I then drove another 5mins only for the gauge to go to full red again, so took another stop at a petrol station,
where I waited 30mins, drinking a cofee in teh meantime.
After that the temps went back to normal, I refilled it with water and immediatelly headed to the next car workshop.
As soon as I took the last corner to the workshop the temps again reached red hot area.
Now they checked it and they say my main cooler is broken. Some valves or so bursted from the preassue and now it's actively leaking/loosing water, even if you refill.
Fucked up day for me.

Yeah, my ebike’s motor heated up too much on some small hill so I actually had to put in some work for a change!
No luck on the car.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
Yup. Hot weather can be very dangerous for cars if you don't apply yourself often (1 time every 2 weeks perhaps, and by start, every day) to check if the water cooling sys is working ok, no matter with what the temperature indicator or electronics are involved. just the ol' eye check. And also a good coolant instead of water will help. (I guess modern cars are only coolant adapted and not water).
Something wrong if a car overheats, da. Shouldnt have to worry about it in any weather.
Especially modern tiny efficient engines that dont even produce enough heat to keep you warm in winter anymore.
Even I dont need to turn on my fan in my Satellite until its atleast 25C outside, even in town. Below that, its not needed at all unless I somehow have to idle for 5 minutes without moving.
Get another car instead of throwing money at an old one who'll break the next day. I've lost two engines in my old car due to summer heat. Kept fixing this and that then gave up and got a new cheap economy car, I just drove in a highway mid-day that has many long uphills and no heating issues whatsoever and it was around 35C and these days it's around 40C
Yep, my shitty old car is also breaking apart slowly, I already put alot of money into repairs over the last few years, now I decided I am not repairing anything anymore and gonna buy a new one once another thing breaks.
