his Development Update highlights the visual improvements that have been made since the June 2018 demo of the game. (Please note that the audio levels have not been mixed yet.)

Launching Summer 2019!

Igavania is back in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night - a 2.5D sidescrolling gothic action RPG from the godfather of the genre, Koji Igarashi.

Discover multiple playable characters, branching ending paths, tons of bosses, the biggest Igavania castle ever, and hundreds of spells, weapons, enemies, loot and cosmetic customizations!

Oh btw: we got celebrity voice actors like David Hayter (Snake – Metal Gear) and a live orchestra soundtrack composed by the legendary Michiru Yamane…just saying…

Looks horrible.

Gameplay wise, it seems clunky and slow paced. That double dragon boss video just made the game look really tedious because the only challenge that boss gave was for your patience.

Visually it seems there's no saving the game. The art direction is all over the place and things just do not blend. It feels like people just got stuff from an asset store.

But I guess Hollow Knight has spoiled me.

Anyway, only way to make this work financially is to try and reach out to Epic and pray that they are interested.

I would be fine with that because the game looks like it's going to suck, and it would add more drama and bring about the fall of games on kickstarter.

This is bad on so many levels, artistically handicapped with that 2D movement in a 3D world thing, the shitty damage numbers, bland assets ... Gameplay-wise I think it's annoying when it comes to the collision detection and movement pace and walking through enemies.

For platformers and Metroidvania games I like high quality 2D art like Dead Cells, Slain etc.

There is a new game called Valfaris or something, too.

How the fuck am I supposed to dodge bosses? Dodge back is useless.I can't roll forward through the attack, I can only jump around.

I'm fighting atm the dude in red clothes in the castle.

It's really good started on hard with the NIGHTMARE code and the first boss pounded my ass for an hour till i decided to start over on normal, i actually don't remember SotN being that hard but it's fun will try again when i have more experience with the game.

I was wrong, game is actually pretty good. I guess they just made shit videos lol.

Would have liked it if they had chaining to the attack animations so it's not just the same attack over and over. Just a purely visual thing, no combos or anything, but just to make it look nicer.

But fun game so far.

And I agree, it really needed the face lift.

At first, I thought the game was pretty good, now, after having completed 77% of the world's map, I think it's a fucking great game.

So many weapons, spells, spells that can be transformed into other absolutely OP spells, passive shards transforming into permanent passive bonuses, lots of secrets, bosses, etc..

I'll definitely buy it Wink

I wish it had more locations though...

PS I've got the Invert ability and it's amazing when used vs bosses. Most of them can't do shit to you lol. Very Happy

That's the bad ending.
There's 2 other endings, one is similar to the bad one, just slightly different dialogue, the other opens up a whole new area, and leads to the true ending.

played it a bit more, 9hrs or so now. got 96% of the map, found the celeste key by accident. either its a troll room or a big secret what to do there, wasted an hour trying anything that comes into my mind but nothing

carpenter done too, the shard is very powerful.

the other opens up a whole new area, and leads to the true ending.

found that by accident too, atleast the first step to get there. the second was simply searching for it

edit: ok finished it with 98,9% . think thats good enough, dont think i will go back to it to get 100% or even for ng+. its a great game, but i think i have seen everything
