rofl, rts was always about survival, early game survive enemy attacks while building a base, then conquer, COMMAND AND CONQUER MOTHERFUCKERS RIP
The Holy Tank Rush.
I actually loved that about these games: hold off the enemy long enough to build defenses and grab resources at the same time until you can finally tip the balance.
Tank rushes got slammed in the early 2000's which is why devs started to add severe population caps - Warcraft III was probably the first big game to do so. It changed the way these games played but I never liked it as much because it meant trial & error. You had to explore the map until you knew where everything more or less was, then restart the game and that just never sat right with me.
This game seems to take the "build defenses and hold off the enemy" and revolve the game around it which is interesting as long as they can balance it properly. "There are Billions" was a bit random and unbalanced to me.
Conan Unconquered has received a new big update, introducing a new playable character - BĂȘlit the Pirate Queen - and new maps, as well as improved visuals and gameplay.
They had a last hurray with the Mutant Year Zero and now it's bye-bye.
They get a lot of money from Norwegian tax payers, so they will probably never be bankrupted. Tbh I dont mind that, compared to all the other cultural shit tax payers in this country have to deal with, helping funcom out is nothing. And pretty much all their MMOs are f2p now
