Well, I said it early on in the thread that Canadians aren't stupid...seems the majority are fuckin stupid. Atleast out west...fuckin Alliance bastards undercover as Conservatives...and they arent conservatives, rather republican...jesus christ, guess we are going to war now too..

Not neccasarily we have another minority government (allbeit conservative)which they don't have much power to make those kinda decisions without the support of at least one other party and I don't think any of the other parties including the Bloc would support that.Syco I don't think we have to worry all too much about this conservative government as I'm sure the NDP's and hopefully the Liberals will keep them in check so to speak.
On another note the NDP I hear gained a few seats,from 18 to now 29 if I remember correctly,and doubling the seats in BC from 5 to 10.Thats was delightful to hear for me anyway and something to look forward to.Hopefully they'll be able to keep making those kinda gains and wield power one day soon.

Naw man, Harper is gunna fuck us over like Mulroney and like the conservatives are known to do. It will be tough, but fuck, they are more corrupt than the liberals, what kinda backdoor deals are gunna go on you know?

G.S.T = Goods and services Tax 7%
Then we have alot of provinces that have P.S.T. = Provincial Sales Tax (Where i live we dont have P.S.T.)
And then we also have Personal Income Tax, which pays for Education, Heath Care, etc. |

Not to mention I just posted something that said the movement for public health care started in the 1940s before being adopted by the rest of the country in the 1960s.
Plus, the GST replaced a tax. We had a tax that was imposed at the manufacturing stage, so it remained kind of invisible.
