The easiest way I found to go about that mission is to use the thermal vision glasses. Even when it is invisible, the thermal vision gives it away. It's a shame they faked the physics and made it warp, rather than actually be a real AI object. I guess it was too hard to Ubi to write some new AI.
Special Operation 2, the second free major update for Ghost Recon Wildlands' second year, launches on July 24, adding Ghost Mode – a new way to play the PVE campaign – as well as new classes, maps, and features for the Ghost War PVP mode. More surprises are in store following the update, including an unrevealed PVE mission.
Ghost Mode is playable solo or in co-op, but make no mistake – it's a high-stakes test of skill that introduces a range of features, including permadeath, friendly fire, and the option to play completely solo (with no AI teammates). Other Ghost Mode features include:
• A new loadout that restricts players to one main weapon and one handgun.
• Real Reloading, which means that if you pop out a partially full clip, you'll lose the bullets that were in there when you slap in a new one.
• Gear management that prevents players from swapping in different weapons unless they're looting an enemy or using an ammo box.
• Option to deactivate AI teammates.
Ghost War is getting some updates as well, with two new classes, two new maps – including one with snow terrain – and new features including Observer Mode, a spectate feature with a free-roam camera and other tools for showcasing (or just watching) a match. Special Operation 2 also adds emotes, victory poses, and voice lines for an extra layer of personality. Finally, Special Operation 2 is adding ranked competitive seasons to Ghost War, giving players a new way to prove their skill.
Special Operation 2 will be available free to all Ghost Recon Wildlands players, and if you own the Year 2 Pass, you'll have seven-day early access to Ghost Mode and the new Ghost War classes (along with exclusive customization packs), meaning you can get your permadeath fix starting now.
Ghost Recon Wildlands is available now on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Special Operation 2 will arrive for all players on all three platforms on July 24.
It's a nice idea and a long requested feature but without serious overhauls I don't see some of these features working out too well.
Perma death? In a 40 - 50 hour campaign? Not to mention some of the late game objectives are incredibly difficult and unfair to the player.
Solo mode? A very frequent request but I wonder how it's going to work since they said nothing about the AI and without your team members drawing some fire it's not going to be very playable, Tier mode is of course borderline impossible but even without that it's going to be really hard without even the AI backup plus again some of the missions in the game are not very friendly to the player.
(At least with four characters AI's or human you have a chance for the friendly AI not to completely fuck themselves even if it's super slim but solo? And then the hostile AI borderline cheating at times yeah it's going to be a tough one.)
Will be interesting to see how it works, I played through the game a few months back but I wouldn't recommend doing a full completion unless you have really skilled human players helping out and who are also not too unafraid of some terrible mission design and game quirks ha ha, hell some of those escort missions and other stuff is not very fun and even a good team of players can't compensate for the friendly AI's being absolutely suicidal and near impossible to protect without multiple mission failures until you meta game some of these events.
Sin did you pick this up? or did you marathon it before the free trial expired?
can anyone tell me how to reconcile with the retarded steering sensitivity for driving with keyboard?
playing on ghost mode here so driving is fucking scary since its game over if you die.. and i get the feeling i will be dying a lot if i can't drive along a road without smashing into something like a retard. how does this shit pass QA?
A new Calancy classic starring a team of Predator Killer Armor-powered US marines would be Wildlands final form.
With auto-deployable authentic rocket launchers, seamless Cloak & Execute, enhanced FOLLOW thermal vision and sensory dreadlocks for easier co-op tagging when hunting for loot crates, it would bring military experiences to a whole new level!

I bought it some time ago. Was fun for a little while, very repetitive eventually. Never finished it.

That sounds awesome you should be a game designer i would totally play this lol
Long list of patch fixes and updates too, some store stuff of course and more PvP maps but nice to see support still ongoing even now during the second year of the game, must have done fairly well although Ubisoft is expanding their GAAS (Ya it sounds like it does.) so we'll probably see more titles move to two year plans and schedules particularly if they keep doing well long term.
EDIT: Well free maps isn't bad really, wonder if they added more original stuff too or took some campaign areas and turned them into online maps for Ghost Wars.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
