Wanted to play through this, uninstalled after the first two missions:
- Clunky controls of your character.
- Shitty and erratic animations from enemies, which made it hard for me to hit them when they were attacking of me.
- German soldier voices sounded absolutely terrible.
- Surround sound was fucked up, as some weapon shots and enemies speaking sounded like they would be right next to me.
- Your fucking sniper character has such loud footsteps, that everyone knows you are there. Only alternative was to crouch slowly around.
- Enemy respawning.
Will try my luck with Sniper v3 now. But i fear it won't be much better.
I enjoyed it. finished it a few months back. it's nowhere near as good as the first game, but it's certainly a 7 for me. one of the DLC missions was great in particular. The Landwehr Canal DLC mission is the closest it got to the glory and hardcore feel of the first game.
Sniper Elite V2 Remastered brings the original game in the series to current generation platforms with a bunch of improvements. The full list of features can be found below:
• Enhanced Graphics 4K & HDR Support*
• Assassinate the Führer
• All DLC included
• New playable characters
• Frame-by-frame photo mode
• And more! Coming in 2019
The game has also been rated by the Australian Ratings Board, revealing that the game will be published by 505 Games.
Rebellion are also set to reveal something tomorrow during a live stream.
From the trailer it seems they took the existing content and polished it up a bit, full revamp to a new and improved engine and additions or at least the additions from V3 and V4 would have been a nice plus though I guess it would require overhauling the models even more extensively.
You can see from the X-Ray effects in the trailer it's the old lower-detail and less complex body and damage system for one unless I'm completely forgetting how the newer games built on and expanded this.
AI could do with a overhaul but as seen in the WAB videos it just got progressively dumber instead ha ha.
But it's good to hear they're doing SE5 as well, wonder if we can X-Ray architecture now, about the only thing missing really.
Wonder what the Fuhrer will be doing in that one too. Kinda hard to top SE4 and his own private resort complete with Hitler's favorite in food.
Grammar Nazi soup.
(Yes I kinda forced a alphabet soup pun in here with horrific effect but whatever.)
Technically it's probably some broth or stew or whatever complete with potato masher aka stiel granate or how you'd spell it properly. Ha ha.
Well it's not Saboteur and real German bratwurst at least. Shame what happened to Pandemic but that's a different topic entirely.

Definately will be grabbing this game..Even if I play VR Rift mainly, I'll still play PC games if they are good. This is one of them..
*Changed my mind. Don't like playing same games again just for 'enhanced' graphics. Was hoping for some new levels.
