And yes it's basically the map from FC5 with half sunken buildings and more green (And pink) and now most of these locales are just for gathering crafting bits and then using for fast travel.
I'd say it could be worth around 20$ perhaps (I think it's selling for 40$ now, it's Ubisoft though so a endless string of discounts awaits as with all their games starting in a month or two.) though demoing it is also a possibility, the grind isn't as terrible as I initially had thought although there is some running for ethanol for base upgrades and the later microchip and titanium but getting the weapon you want and well that's about all you need for the tiered weapon crafting and maybe a sniper rifle or explosive implement to round it all off.
EDIT: And much of the northern area capped off and used very sparsely, overall 10 maybe 15 hours plus whatever for hunting down these bits or just using Cheat Engine or similar to speed up the padding and collection but personally I'll say it's not too big of a hassle and there's little need to try and unlocking everything weapon and vehicle wise.
EDIT: Well cost is subjective but essentially a 10 hour ending bit to Far Cry 5 set a while later and there are various changes but this could have been a expansion pack some years back.

@JBeckman
Hm, do you think it would be possible, with Cheat Engine, to actually SLOW DOWN default walk (on PC walk is RUN, actually) movement? I don't know why Ubi thinks that all gamers are ADHD kids with speed syndrome in their veins.
I have the same problem I have with several videogames here: the default movement speed is way too high. And it's not even walk speed, it's run speed.
Open world games like Skyrim, Fallout 4 have proper WALKING speed in first person. But this... Damn, Ubi.

Yeah that's something that's seen more and more in games, Assassin's Creed Odyssey had a long standing complaint on the slow default walk speed so the developers implemented a setting so you could increase it but keeping the default.
Adjusting the value for movement speed is certainly possible though sop far I've only seen a run speed modifier myself with the table I'm using for increasing the resource gathering and cutting down on the grinding.

Yep, thanks for pointing it out!
I found such things for FarCry 5 too, but the speed modifier is always unidirectional = super darn speed. Looks like everyone is in such a hurry...

The only ones that have some presence is the twins and perhaps even that is stretching it a bit as they're not really on par with Vaas or the other villains in these games beyond perhaps Primal where they mostly held a low presence but Primal put a lot of focus on the support villagers and Takar himself.
Here? Well both the support staffers and companions have a short small mission and you'll never really hear from them again beyond maybe a side quest or two at best.
The kid and her mom mostly only pop up for a few cutscenes but you rarely interact or engage with them at all and the guy you arrived with is also only really around to give you like one or two missions.
You don't really connect with anyone and even the major characters have perhaps two or three more important scenes and elaborate cutscenes so yeah it's no wonder and most of it is focused on the twins.
Far Cry 5 wasn't much better but it had a better gallery of support characters and their roles and the villains which you'd probably also remember better afterwards. Even the spoiler-ish character here is only really around for a few briefer scenes.

Perhaps I'm a n00b when it comes to SMGs and the ammo used but aren't SMGs using less powerful ammo to make them usable? They come in a variety of calibers but the cartridges are usually smaller (pistol cartrigdes) in order to reduce the enormous amount of recoil you'd get if you used rifle cartridges.

Sure. SMGs are often used by police or for CQB. Most SMGs use 9mm (pistol rounds). There is pretty much no recoil on an MP5 it's almost ridiculous.
However they are quite ineffective when it comes to body armor or longer range, so instead an assault type rifle using 5.56mm or even 7.62mm (M4, M16 etc.) is used which packs a lot more punch. And with modern buffer systems recoil is lessened somewhat.

Submachine guns use handgun ammunition. Machine guns use rifle ammunition.
The purpose of SMG is to have something light that can spray many bullets/second (or minute).
So the very name 'sub' means light, small, so ofc small caliber.
Uzi proly one of the smallest.
Machine guns are bigger, bulkier, you use them for suppression fire, usually have to be placed on the ground while SMG's are used for close combat like going house to house.

Last time I've played Far cry was first part of Far Cry 3... I loathed the 2nd island. I've skipped 4,5,primal, this and any dlc to any of those games.
Should I try playing any of those? Which one ?

I enjoyed 4 and 5, New Dawn is a sequel to 5 and have story/characters from 5.
I didn't play New Dawn but visualy it looks crap with all the pink and i did see the story on YT and ffs it's so bad.
But 4 and 5 both are cool in gameplay and story, i really liked the bad guys in 5.
