They made such an effort to reduce the rng in the game in order to make the multiplayer more competitive, just to add random events on the map. Anyway, I'm very excited about the beta.
Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 Pre-Order Beta 2 begins January 15 - new trailer reveals everything you need to know about the campaigns.
Stunning space RTS sequel Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 launches January 24, 2019, bringing all the chaos and destruction of Warhammer 40,000 fleet battles to PC. On top of skirmish and multiplayer, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 comes with three full grand campaigns letting you control humanity’s combined Imperial forces, the ancient re-awakening Necron empire, or the ravenous extra-galactic horde of the Tyranid Hive Fleets. Our new campaign trailer breaks down every facet of the 100+ hours that can easily be spent in Armada 2’s single-player offerings. Every campaign is also playable in co-op, with two players controlling a split fleet in each battle.
Also announced today is the second pre-order beta, running January 15 up until launch. This will be your first chance to go hands-on with the campaigns as the first sectors of the Imperial and Necron storylines will be available to play. This second beta will also feature all the multiplayer and skirmish options, including the 12 playable factions, the 80+ subfactions, ranked play, custom map options with special environmental effects from the first beta, updated with brand new balance adjustments and bug fixes.
bugs in a sequel is rather shamefull, its the same engine, tried and tested ... , i like the idea, but its execution and space combat is so uninspired and silly
homeworld spoiled us decade ago ... and this new breed of devs just dont know wtf they doing
but i actually grow tired of all this micro management, i want to decide strategy, equip the ships, pick crews and then let ai donk it out while i watch and shout some commands to the admiral
im to old for all this fucking star craft wannabee bullshit spamming of keyboard n mouse, it ruined total war with each unit now having two tree skills buttons to press, its retarded

So you are saying bugs are only related to the engine?
The gameplay is designed to recreate the tabletop experience and work in a competitive multiplayer. The devs know very well what they are doing, you just don't get it.

Then this is clearly not the game for you.

Because Starcraft invented micromanagement, right?

Was hyped but supposedely the campaign is mediocre and the game has a lot of bugs Waiting for reviews then...
I'm not sure how the campaign is and I don't expect much since this a budget game. But I can tell you that the multiplayer is great!
whats so hard to include an auto resolve option or different way to play ... limiting ur customer base is the fastest way to go bankrupt and push out unfinished priducts due to lack of funding screwing over everyone
Yeah, I played the prologue during the beta as well, it was fun. Although scripted af. Campaign with Humans is kind of meh, will start Necrons tomorrow (you must play humies first before Necrons and 'nids are unlocked).
We’re incredibly excited to reveal the new Grand Campaign for Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 – the CHAOS Campaign, coming on June 24!
This paid Expansion, arriving alongside a massive free patch filled with updates to the game’s single-player offerings, delivers the most requested new feature of the game: a fully playable Chaos Grand Campaign, letting you take the role of Malos Vrykan as he razes the galaxy.
Releasing at the same time as the Chaos Campaign will be the no-less major Campaign Update. Free to all players, this update enriches every campaign with additional secondary objectives on each map, diversifying gameplay significantly.
This is further expanded by new campaign settings, letting you customise every aspect of the campaign to your needs, with massively variable difficulty. This includes larger fleets, economy options, or disabling certain features for a more narrative-focused experience. This is just scratching the surface of everything in the update, details of which will be available on release day.
Cadia has fallen, but this is just the start of your Black Crusade. At the head of a fleet of Word Bearers, the most fervent servants of the Ruinous Powers, Malos Vrykan begins his campaign of chaos and destruction across the Aegis Occularis. His path is yours, how will you bring the galaxy to its knees?[/INDENT]
