Pretty much sums up my opnion:

well its ok..its not bad at all..
If you liked the old X files and the main story of it, then this might be something for you..
lets see how it goes... its okish right now, i hope it gets better..

I have to admit, the other half and myself are loving it. What a shame it's only 8 episodes. You're correct in saying 3E74 that if you like the X-Files, you'll most probably like this.
