On-topic: you can cheat on people who are cheating others themselves all you want, you're the moral compass for yourself and that should suffice.
You'll find support from those who'd do the same thing with no remorse, and no support from those that wouldn't do it because faithfulness is important to them.
I know that I wouldn't ever cheat on someone I love, and the moment I'd start seriously questioning it would mean I don't really love her any more or that some serious work is needed on the relationship. But then again, people love very differently, and some are perfectly fine with a little freedom.
The only thing really important about it: be honest and straightforward about it.
Humans by nature aren't monogamous. It's only a compromise, a form of social conditioning because it leads to more stable societies. But we live in very advanced times now, it's not really necessary anymore.
For males especially it makes no sense whatsoever - we are by nature polygynous. Women tend to be serial monogamists and need at least a period of stability for child rearing but eventually they get bored. Statistically women cheat just as often as men nowadays.
