That's a statement I can fully agree with. Everyone's just stumbling over themselves trying to find a new group to ass kiss for inclusivity points and social media coverage - all at the expense of making a decent fucking game! Pisses me off to no end.

The difference between Origins and Inquisition in this regard is how much they flaunted it as a selling point in the current political climate. Diversity, differing sexual orientations etc have always been there (as they have been in NWN, Jade Empire, KOTOR, Baldur's Gate etc). Except in the instance of DAI they turned it to 11 and were clearly pandering to a certain demographic. And for what? Ayup. Origins did it well, but sadly Bioware misunderstood why it got such positive praise. It wasn't because they had a gay character in there, it was because they had a well done and almost realistic take on it.
Due to this misunderstanding, they ended up making pretty much everyone bi in Dragon Age 2, which is a horrible thing to do because it destroys the integrity of the characters.
They're not actual characters with their own opinions / sexual orientations, they're basically walking assholes/vaginas for the player to stick his dick in.
It's OK to put in gay or trans characters in, but keep it sensible and develop the characters so they don't come off as shallow. Not everyone is going to be bi.
This is why I prefer to not have romance in games. Or if they do have it, keep it sensible and make it so that not everyone in your party is hungry for your cock. Straight female party member is not interested, end of story.

Regarding Andromeda... it must be so frustrating as a "soldier" or midlevel dude working on the game.

It pisses me off, that they stopped working on DLC tbh. I enjoyed Andromeda "for what it was", but I hate, that so many storylines simply don't have an end.

I couldn't give a rats ass about the fucking Quarian ship. Andromeda sucked completely, not one aspect of it was good (imho). As it exists it is a shame on an otherwise pretty good trilogy.
Andromeda was a sex simulators for sexual minorities - as some entitled people envision it, anyway. Super sick. Super shit. Made by gender warriors.
Story, characters, conflict - all very poorly done, Z movie category level shit.
I'm glad it failed. Shit like this does not deserve success.

It wasn't a bad game, after a couple patches, but the major story lines have no conclusion and the "main boss" was rather underwhelming.

The game's not as bad as the reputation it has, but it didn't stand out as a good Mass Effect game to me. The characters were rather boring and uninspired; the quests were too. I remember I enjoyed the overall gameplay, even though it was kinda repetitive.

Why is everbody saying that? They wrapped up the main storyline, there is no cliffhanger and after the finale you even get a proper epilogue. All thats missing is the Quarian ark storyline which is teased during and after the game but never gets a conclusion because the DLC was abandoned.

There are several story lines left open. The "boss" is also just a stepping stone, nothing else. Same shit as in Anthem.

I liked Andromeda, to me it was a comedy spin off of the trilogy, ofc it wasn't as good as the first games, but still the gameplay was very fun and jetpack was a good addition, combat may be the most fun in series..
I liked Sara and she was so goofy and i liked it, i also remember that the game ended well at least the main story, i am planning on replay it sometime for sure.
