You'd probably be better off with a new radio like Werelds suggested... the sound quality for those FM things is pretty bad.

About the cleaning, make sure you don't use anything metallic or wet, maybe try a vaccum cleaner? Or just dry cloth...

ok I've checked the horrible transmitter. it works. At first glance, it is utterly terrible. like some of the soundstage is missing. Turns out audio line in port is fucked. And it only works as intended when i hold the cable in a special position... then it sounds okish.
guess I need better transmitter and not broken 3euro crap.

but that way or another, i know at least that this solution will work

Perhaps 'stolen' was a joke but the rest is srsly. That shit costs nothing. I mean something that would still be 10x superior to the quality of the transmitted sound.

Here some used Blaupunkt/Alpine car audios with USB/MP3 cost $30-70. But honestly you should do what was recommended above - go to the local carshop and they'll make you an external AUX on the panel for your current audio.

Well. Had a "little" collision today. Was turning left on a "T" crossroad and somehow didnt noticed that dude was already entering the road from my right at the same time.
Obviously my fault. Dude was very nice. no police involved. His damage will be covered from my oc policy insurance. As for my car. i have to fix it myself. Car is already in the workshop. Everything is working. right direction lightbulb just needed to be changed and all lights seems to be working fine. Wheel is thankfully untouched. The damage is on the bumper and the over the wheel body. Also... hood is not opening. something must be blocked.

God fucking damn it. Why do I have to be such an idiot in december. I need money for gifts. That way or another, my mechanic buddy will fix the hood, replace signpost case and straighten up what can be repaired. As for look, I will fix it all after winter. Shouldn't cost much now, so it's ok all in all.

my damage(blue ford) and the other guy(white car)

Lol somehow that ford still works and I found out a big surprise today.
Turns out that all the seats were actually overlays/covers... I took all of it off and all the seats underneath are brand new Laughing
Some fool who bought that car 15 years ago, immidietly got protective covers installed. Probably where hhe bought a car, because it was professionally done and looked like original upholstery... well it was dusty, dirty and crumpled under drivers seat.

I am not sure how long is that car going to survive but I got fucking brand new seats now Very Happy

It's a sad day today.... The legend is gone. I've sold my 2001 ford focus for 250usd... after almost 5 years of constant use. Petrol 1.6 engine, sedan, fucking ghia edition.

It was still running reliably and I was driving it daily. BUT:
-No ac (never worked)
-No slow air vent speed. Level low never worked. Either medium and fuck Your face
-CD's skips like a motherfucker
-No aux, usb, mp3
-Catalytic converter destroyed itself 2 years ago... I did not got a new one
-Rear door locks did not worked. I stopped locking the car about 2 years ago anyway
-Brake fluid lines broke once and I had no brakes for a few days
-It was burning engine oil and I had to fill about 4 liters per year
-No door remote closing. Only for opening
-Trunk stopped opening reliably and I had to mash the trunk button 10 times to open it
-A lot of stuttering on low gears when accelerating
-Driver window rotor broke and window was dropping. I had to unscrew the door panel and fit a board in there
-Some cables were dangling under the car once (around the middle section). I just ripped those apart and nothing changed lol
-Constant check engine - I removed the dashboard check engine light bulb.
-Rust on every part of the car
-Exhaust once just rusted away and broke off
-Gear stick got very stiff
-It smelled of gasoline inside

On the plus side:
-It always started, even in -20 winters
-Steering was great
-It was comfy
-Suspension was nice and soft

Well, It was my first car after all and I loved it. There is something very satisfying about driving through slowing bumps 80km/h and not slowing down. I never gave a shit about anything in this car. Hit something? whatever... curb? lol, who cares.

Now I have something a lot different - Hyundai i30 2008, also petrol 1.6 but finally automatic. I always wanted automatic because I am a lazy fuck but polish people only buy "combi, manual, diesel" and that's all I do not want.
It's so nice to drive... Driving around the city is great in automatic. No clutch burning or car rolling down. The car accelerates so fast. Love it. Everything works too.... windows, ac, usb, mp3, trunk, no rust. All basic stuff but it feels like a luxury car. Even has half leather seats.
The only thing is that steering is not as good as with focus and the suspension is hard as fuck, wtf was Hyundai thinking god damn.
edit: Pics of "new" car. It's not a lot for You rich folks but 10yo car for a polish guy is like - "WOOOOW, 2008?!"

Lol it's poland, he will hide the rust, fix some stuff very cheaply and sell it for 100usd more. I am still very surprised someone wanted to buy it but hey.... it's running and someone can drive it to work.

Congrats KC, recently I had to upgrade too, the improvement is absolutely incredible but..deep inside still feelsbadman for the poor beloved Yaris Very Happy

I've managed to find someone who really wanted it (since it was the very first model, the one with the kawaii engine still made in Japan) and got 800€ back, so in the end everything went a lot better than expected.

Btw, we need to adjust the avatar!!

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
