Played some COOP rounds in the beta too, it is indeed satisfying. The weapon handling/shooting feels really good, and I have to say the sounds are some of the best I've heard which surprised me. The exterior/interior shooting, bullet splashes, explosion sounds are fantastic and really pumps the adrenalin in the heat of battle.

Yeah the equip and customize menus does have some bugs, I encountered them too, although I didn't have problems equipping anything, it just didn't show up at first.

Tried it yesterday and have mixed feelings about it. It has good weapon handling and shooting is really, really good, but the damn aliasing on distant objects is killing me. Tried all of the AA options and it still looks awful :/

Also, there is a ton of graphical glitches and character models and animations are really bad. It kinda breaks the immersion Sad

The animations doesn't really bother me mostly, maybe because I know this is not a AAA high budget title and the devs probably can't use a mocap studio. And also maybe because despite this quirk, they really nailed the more realistic shooting mechanics, gun handling (those reload animations are also fantastic) and sounds that just makes me jump into a COOP game again and again.

Having said that, I somehow feel that it's not really ready for a release now, it has it's fair share of bugs still and I don't think those will be ironed out until release. Also I'm surprised that not many people played this during this free beta which is kinda worrying.

If I recall correctly the guy who worked on the excellent Half-Life 2 mod called Underhell which also had really great weapon handling was hired to work on this.

I'm well aware that this is a product on a tight budget and that we can't expect superb quality on all fronts, but still, there is too many things which are just broken. If the performance wouldn't be a problem, I could overlook past a lot of things which are bothering me, but since the game is poorly optimised I just can't.

On the other hand, I want to support developers who are not afraid to make such niche games which will never have a large playerbase.

For now I'm holding off with my purchase to wait and see how the game will progress.

The game is far from being broken as fuck. It's perfectly playable (me and my friends don't have performance problems) with a few annoying bugs.
What are they thinking? What every developers thinks, generating hype with a launch trailer. Fallout 76 is an absolute mess (broken as fuck Mr. Green), but this didn't stop Bethesda from making a launch trailer.

Most complains I read are about performance. I don't know how much has changed after the pre-release patch.

Picture in picture scoping is causing massive fps drops. It's a double rendering zoom which is a known performance killer in most games that use it.

I'm seriously considering buying this after the beta, despite it's performance problems and occasional bugs. The shooting mechanics and sounds, even going against the AI are so satisfying it was hard to put it down. If they can iron these bugs out, add some more content (coop and PvP both), this would be one of the best shooters out there.

I watched a dev talk on the official publisher twitch stream a few days ago and unfortunately they are considering adding microtransactions to the game, but only strictly cosmetic and nothing would be paywalled. They'll also add in night maps with night vision goggles among other things.

If they add microtransactions before they fix the performance and bug problems they can seriously go fuck themselves. Gameplay is very, very good, but it's completely overshadowed by all the problems the game has.

Matchmaking ranked servers...

~6 minutes to get in, game ends in maybe a minute. That's if the match doesn't bug out before a round starts.

But if you're lucky enough for it to start and you get to play, you get to match-make all over again when it's done

Fucking seriously. Who has all this time to sit around waiting?
Thats why iv only been playing coop Smile
