So I've played it for some time... Throwing at players waves and waves of enemies never works. It's not challenging. It's boring and really tiresome.

This game has such a great design and interesting setting that it makes me really mad they fucked it up..such a shame. Uninstalled. I'll just watch a speed run on youtube to see all the locations, bosses and endings.


PS OK.. I've decided to give this game another chance.. and once I got shield combo perks the game got much less irritating coz it's much harder to kill me now=)

    Added a set of new combat moves we call Finishers. Once a certain number of melee attacks have been landed in a short time frame, a powerful Finisher attack is ready to be unleashed! Finishers are available from the start of the game
    Huge balance pass to make the game smoother and reduce moments where grind feels necessary: Reworked and improved early game pacing; Increased shard drops in the early game.
    Expanded the skill tree with new nodes and rebalanced some stat multipliers and perks.
    Defeated bosses can be fought again for reduced rewards.
    Added player markers to help locate the player in crowded or zoomed out locations (can be toggled in the options).
    Tweaked minimap legend so each icon is more easily recognizable.
    Modified tip system so as to not spoil content that is not yet accessible to the player.
    Reduced loading times and stabilized frame rate (hurray!).
    Other minor bug fixes.

I just played this for about 30min. Very good game. Similar to Dead Cells but less hectic.

Love the action and the art style...easy too play...hard too master!

I liked this game's setting more than Dead Cells'. It's a good game but not without some flaws.

And it's €5, thinking about getting it. I love metroidvania games and I loved their previous game, Jotun. I don't really know what this one compares to the most though. Is the focus more on random runs and replayability than most metroidvanias?
