I think most of the "issues" are actually how people are playing the game.
They added a new mechanic, allowing people to fortify positions, but only very few actually use this.
It makes defending a position so much easier. But sadly, most people just circle jerk zerg from flag to flag.

Glad you brought this up.
You should NOT be allowed / encouraged to RUN across some open map like a headless chicken, without using cover. Cover, flanking and some minimal tactics should apply in a game where the MAJOR rule is almost a real-life simulation: 1-2 shots kill. Did you run around SOLO, like some idiot in the Heavy Metal map while going solo to cap B?! No, because there were snipers on the B hill, helicopters and tanks just waiting to increase their KD ratio. |
I specifically mentioned Hamada as it's a map with very little cover.
And unless you're playing with friends (or people who play like a team) you won't get from point A to point B without getting killed half a dozen times by snipers/tanks/planes.
Luckily, BF has never been a mil-sim game but like you mentioned in your post...arcadey. This is also the reason why there are more people playing this rather then games like Arma or that other WW2 game that's out now (which is both a blessing and a curse at the same time).
The game is a clusterfuck when it comes to players (I remember BF3 being the same) who don't play the objectives nor do they utilize the game and it's mechanics fully (kind of like Sin mentioned).

The reason the infantry gameplay sucks so much is a combination of two factors -
1. Tiny maps. Hamada is the biggest map and you can fly from one end of it to the other in about 5 seconds. That's a joke.
combined with
2. Low TTK.
When you combine these two things you're almost always guaranteed to die soon after you fire your weapon or kill someone. Because the maps are so tiny, the likelihood of someone seeing you soon after you shoot is pretty much guaranteed (and if it wasn't, add in the fact that every bullet you fire is a tracer right back to exactly where you are and now it is).
Even though Bad Company 2 had small maps as well, the TTK was high. You could kill one guy, and out-aim/maneuver others, because they had to land many and CONSISTENT shots on you - not just a lucky spray where one or two bullets just happened to hit you and end you.
Of course all this can be mitigated if you're lucky enough to surprise a few people from behind, but given the tiny widths of the map, the likelihood of you flanking someone 180 degrees behind without first running into someone else head on is minuscule. Or you could camp - but camping is for pussies and snipers (the two being interchangeable ).
TLDR - the maps are too small for the amount of players and TTK combination. It's closer to COD than BF infantry wise.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

There are many reasons for why the infantry gameplay sux so much:
- The insane movement speed
- Low TTK
- Level design
- Death has no meaning
- Questionable netcode
etc

Why do you need to be demonstrated?
All EA games are unfinished or unpolished.

Surely these are stolen accounts?
They even say there might be other games on them.

It's not a good idea for people who want a permanent account, there are comments saying they lost access to the accounts after a while, but it's not a bad idea for people who only want to temporarily "demo" the game.

Even if you want to demo the game, do you really want your IP, and your other Origin account associated with accounts that are stolen/hacked?
Then there's the moral aspect, do you want to fund people who steal accounts from people?

Personally, nah. I've bought grey keys, but I find account sharing/selling too shady. I'd rather subscribe to the basic origin access to get the 10 hours demo. I see why the price can be tempting and convincing for others tho. It might be even more tempting for people who don't have a main Origin account they don't care about, if they never really bought games on it before.

Yes, you get 7-day origin access which gives you 10-hour trial.
Premium access users also got 4 codes which they can share.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

LMAO, they just post the keys in public and people are complaining that others are activating them before they're able to.
Just post a multi-use key and let people sample the game for a few days instead of this nonsense.

No, considering they can revoke a key after X amount of time has passed.
