Wat
Russia attacked Poland on the 17th of October 1939. Also a little later on pressured the Baltic States and invaded Finland.
Also it wasn't really Russia, but Soviet Russia or Soviet Union to be exact - actually a big distinction between then and Tzar's Russia before the "revolution".

On the other hand i'm not fond of the maps that are included now. China vs Japan will probably be ignored even though the casaulties there (on the Chinese side especially) were the biggest amont fighting nations after the Soviet Union. An urban map of Nanking would be something fresh at least.

The rehashing of assets stings the eyes. Trying to hide it with LSD bright colors doesn't help the game.

We all know this is going to be a game to them. On the one hand, they had to drop the season pass after the disaster that was Battlefront I & II, on the other hand, their SJW pandering pissed off a lot of people and their response pissed even more people off so on on hand, you got a hit in sales, on the other hand the loss of DLC income will mean less profits so saving on content is their "logical" greedy move.

So yeah, expect a game with little content and then next game they'll go "Well, we were nice and offered no DLC and you STILL didn't buy our game so you got yourself to blame, next game will have DLC again" ignoring WHY it didn't sell well.

EDIT: also, with BF1 still going strong and being a blast, I see zero reason to move things up unless there's a lot of new content that makes it play very differently compared to either BF1 or BF4. (got to love how confusing this gets)

So, how are the maps? Better than those two shitty ones from the beta?
Gunplay was awesome, but those maps were just terrible :/

Twisted Steel and Devastation are amazing. FYI, the snow effects in Narvik improved a lot.

In the link to the gallery I posted above there pics from most of the maps.

I tried it now a couple of hours via Origin Access Basic to play a 10 hour trial and I'm not that impressed. Gunplay is solid but it's still one big clusterfuck on those maps. Of course it runs great and the visuals and sound are stunning. Not sure if I'm going to buy it seeing how little content there is.

I miss the days that I was super hyped for Battlefield 3 and I played that game to death (with you guys Smile ) but I'm not feeling that hype anymore. Must be the age.

It's not age Senor Hornblower Razz

The gameplay simply doesn't feel right. I might buy it at a discount later when it gets more content.

So, I'm assuming yesterday's early launch didn't come with that supposed massive day 1 patch? Still doesn't seem to be here today yet either. Sad

I found the answer to my own question...

"We’ll have exact timing of update for you next week."

So, the day one patch will be deploying, at minimum, 3 or 4 days after day 1. Great work DICE! Evil or Very Mad Going to have to re-learn everything again as apparently the changes are pretty sweeping.

Anybody in NA here playing this? My old crew fucking scattered to the four winds apparently. One's deployed overseas, one became an ARK/Twitch tard, and the last is MIA.

I was previously told the day 1 patch would be released on the "actual" launch of the game, November 20. Since they're saying ray tracing will be released in a patch with the deluxe edition of the game, I'm guessing we'll get a patch on November 15.

I enjoy it...but ive had three weird bugs in singelplayer so far.
One dead german who kept banging himself with his weapon in the head, one guy who sat down and fell through the ground (i could see his white outline disapear) and a suicidal truck who drove off a cliff for no obvious reason! BUT despite those bugs and weak SP..I actually enjoy it. Its a beautiful game and nice to get a chance to play french for once too.

shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

Bought a month of Premier JUST for this (mostly SP and a bit of MP fun if I have the time.. damn work). I had hoped there at least one other tripple A game that I wanted to play or/and havent completed with their overprice, but nope.

Anyways, the war stories was pretty muich what I expected short and pretty good. The nowegian voice acting in Nordlys wasn't bad either (Astrid and Solveig)

And long before playing MP I noticed they haven't fixed the strange seizure like death animations that really can make some really strange situations. The characters seems so light and twitchy Confused

Overall not so bad, at least got this to play until 10. december Wink
