As the title says from one day to the other my Win10 only shows one of two SSIDs I have and it's only the 2.4Ghz one.

I didn't change anything on my PC and all other devices (android phone, tablets, laptops, etc...) they all work as normal, always showing both wifis and they're connected to the 5Ghz one.

It just stoppped to appear in the list of available networks.

What gives?

Check the properties of the Wi-Fi adapter in Device Manager, the advanced tab might have a setting for the 5Ghz band that gets disabled for some reason.

I wasn't brave enough to test it.
Hope someone to be and do it, for me.

hmmm,

did you try it like this?

Quote:
remove all saved networks from settings--->network settings--->manage advanced wifi settings, then uninstall the drivers by going to device manager, right clicking the wifi adaptor and selecting "uninstall", and checking the "remove drivers" checkbox when it asks, then rebooting your PC and hooking up an ethernet cable/USB wifi adaptor and allowing device manager to download the latest *windows update/windows 10 approved* driver, disconnecting the USB adaptor/ethernet, rebooting and connecting to your wifi network, and you're good to go!

also:

2.4 and 5Ghz work a lot differently, one will sometimes work much better than the other, try changing the channel on the 5Ghz network, maybe you are getting interference from something in the house.

maybe try a different driver? Installing via device manager or compability mode? after cleaning it and deleting the old one from the whole system... or/and see if windows finds a new driver itself..

Did you check in the device manager under the adapter (wifi) settings if it is set to 5ghz + 2.4 ghz..both enabled?

i dont know what else to say, thats all thats what i can think of atm..

This seems to be a common issue? google is full of it if you search for it..

anyway, good luck
