Or maybe they are just advertising to use Denuvo so some people will "panic" and preorder just in case to be able play on day one, and then the company implements the shittiest and cheapest variant of Denuvo because it will probably be cracked anyway. Thus they are still in plus and didn't waste much moneys on the protection.

I do wonder how many versions of Denuvo there is - is it like AAA releases?
Standard: Add Denuvo protection to your executable. Up to 5 triggers, no extra protection. Good for games you need to sell on day 1 without DLC support.
Deluxe Edition: 20 triggers, also allowed to be used in external dll files. For larger games that need extra time to sell.
Ultimate Edition: Unlimited triggers, free Denuvo updates for 6 months (added by game update), extra protection via emulation wrapper. Ideal for games with planned DLC, to maximise profits. Highly uncrackable*. Comes with handpainted middle finger statue and 'How to spend your profits' hardback book.

We do know that there is only one version of it and it get's constantly updated, implementation varies from game (and engine) to game some have have more points to place triggers without crippling performance some less (and sometimes they just don't care), they do have a different pricing model for AAA publishers and indies that's it.
