yeah back then there was like free cool gear/skin or fun cheat for each 10 of them .... nowadays such stuff is pushed to "microtransaction stores" and when you do all 200 collectables only thing you get is an achievemnet Rolling Eyes

Yep, forgot what it was for Assassin's Creed 1 but I think AC2 had the cape (That made everyone hate you, main reward was the armor for doing the optional tombs.) and then for the third game it had the little fragment bits.
Now it's the DLC stuff and online rewards instead and achievements only for the in-game challenges although Odyssey has some rewards too for certain accomplishments at least.

EDIT: And for Origins that was the god-slaying challenges I believe, grinding it up so you got the higher tier rewards although if you lost the item you got that first and then you got the new one when you took on the challenge for the next week.
(Well the Animus corruption showing as these 4... oops only 3 now god like beings and their gimmicks.)

there is no other group to proper them or analyse DNV+VPM to confirm where is the problem imo

ask on nukenets Razz

From what i gathered problem seems to be on the VMP side ... but weird is that for most people it works flawlessly , for some some setup changes (seems to be random) helps and for some nothing

The latest release by CODEX even refused to start today. Played it in the morning then quit and clicked again after few hours and nothing happened, no process, nothing, even after waiting 20 minutes... Neutral Only worked after I restarted the PC. The CPY release always started almost instantly. At least I have just couple more hours to finish the last DLC and be done with this.

Seems normal, Denuvo is bypassed is it not? It's not removed but you have a workaround that gets around the license check.

So far that's the biggest complaint I have about the protection though Monster Hunter World, Final Fantasy XV and Assassin's Creed Odyssey is showing a problematic trend with numerous anti debug triggers and checks. Monster Hunter World's is custom and has ~280 some odd checks (And more in the latest patch.) but FFXV and AC:Odyssey are seemingly using what might be something via Denuvo itself to prevent tampering and that's a trend that was seen with SecuROM and Star-Force where it gradually got more and more aggressive as earlier models were cracked or bypassed faster and faster.

Now the stuff here in these exe files can still be worked around or outright removed/disabled by a number of methods and don't really pose much of a challenge but it's a worrying trend for the future of this protection scheme where it's going beyond being a obfuscation layer and code padding on top of the Steam or UPlay or Origin related code for license and validation and is now interfering with more third party programs and OS services including things such as NVIDIA Ansel and GeForce Experience.
(Monster Hunter World can be affected by these depending on how they interact with the game though it seems the latest patch foregoes outright crashing to disconnecting from online mode for it's new triggers so that's a bit less annoying though still a pain to deal with.)

Hmm so I was close enough
Quote:
We tested our initial release on about 15 different PC's with various
configurations and played for hours without any problems. Now it
seems there are still some situations, where the game doesn't even
launch for some people. We identified VMP being part of the problem
plus Denuvo related timezone restrictions.

Finished it already with the previous CODEX crack. Only once it did not launch but a PC restart fixed it. And loading times weren't 15-20 mins like some other people. For me the game usually started in 3-4 mins and that's not on a SSD. I had other bugs from the game like getting stuck on some quests or at the final battle the boss just didn't move or attack and was just standing there to be killed. But I guess there can't be an Ubi game without bugs.

I had the same problem, it didn't start and what worked for me... I changed everything to uk including my keyboard, and it started working. Then I changed all regional settings back except the keyboard and it still works so it's possible that its just stupid keyboard(eng) setting. Try it.

If you already have eng keyboard it could be the language, I have it to eng(UK) not eng(US).

Yes, you need ACO.Uplay.Rewards.and.Paid.Stuff.Unlocker-PLAZA for that if the CDX doesnt unlock it itself (dunno since i use my own legit save).

That doesn't include all the rewards and doesn't seem to work with this release.

For me, the world / environment in Origins is superior to the one from Odyssey. Egypt, the desert, the mystic aura that surrounds the locale... I like it more. Wink

Also, Bayek feels just like he has more weight to his character, which put me off big time in Odyssey with the slightly floaty movement.

Origins really sucked me in, unlike the greek variant Sad

Two separate studios and the one they had for this one should be the lead on AC Italy or what the next one will be truly called (Assuming it actually is accurate that it does take place in Italy during the Roman antiquity.) but who knows what Ubisoft will decide on and do for that game, seemingly it's going to be even larger yet again but beyond that mostly just rumors and speculation for now.
