Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption will launch digitally for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch onOctober 18, and for PC and Mac as a “First on Discord” launch title later this year, with a Steam release to follow
I've been looking thru the install folders. There are 2 game.exes. Each one triggers "Discord" to open then the game starts. When I first click on the either .exe the game seems to start but closes then "Discord" opens and then the game starts? Not a hell of a lot in there compared to a "Steam" game. I'm sure someone will figure out how to get the game to work without "Discord" starting.
Despite the multiple layers of Chinese cheapness, the core gameplay somehow works for what it is, like an Ashen One Wanda Edition, but (and I agree with Lolo) the decision to focus entirely on roaming around inside a room filled with stones where each one triggers a separate boss-rush run (plus specific weakening effect) alas doesn't tickle me in the right hollow spots.
The aspects that make the Dark Souls formula so compelling and fascinating to begin with are the intricate atmospheric level design, fear of the unknown, the encounters/NPCs, traps 'n secrets and rewarding sense of discovery; when all these are missing from the equation the result just feels gimped and..musty. *uses the Shift-delestus Flask*
Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption will add new game modes, a new boss, and two more weapons to the currently available PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and Discord versions of the game alongside the launch of a Steam version on February 19, publisher Another Indie and developer Dark Star Game Studios announced.
New Game+ will add three new challenges for the ultimate tests of skill. The Trial of Speed will grant Adam swiftness in exchange for losing invulnerability during dodge rolls, Trial of Consequence will make death permanent and Trial of the Sinner will combine both modifiers for the most challenging experience yet.
The haunting action RPG’s arsenal of bosses will expand with the addition of Cowardly Modic, the fowl-est boss yet, a giant deadly armored chicken. Defeat the brutal bird to unlock two weapon sets based on other bosses’ kits, twin swords and a sword and shield combo, to complement Adam’s already powerful arsenal.

For me they shoot themselves in the foot. I wanted to buy it. Epic store was big nope for me so I thought that I will wait for Steam. But now I'm not interested any more. They can go and f.... themselves kurwa!
Future of gaming by Bioware:
"WHEN YOU PRESS A BUTTON, SOMETHING AWESOME HAS TO HAPPEN."
I believe that Sinner offers enough content to justify its asking price of £15. After the first playthrough, you can experiment with its sacrifice mechanic in order to increase the challenge and add a couple more hours of fun. Moreover, there are 3 endings and finishing the game unlocks an actual boss rush mode where you fight all of the bosses one after the other. Ultimately, for a Dark Souls fan, it depends on what their main draw to the series is. Should that be combat and boss fighting, then I believe Sinner will satisfy that need through its ingenious twists. This may not be the right game for those who prefer exploration and progression systems. As for me, I’ve enjoyed my time with the game and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a difficult but fair game.

Pros:
+ The story features some interesting themes and is ingeniously integrated into the gameplay
+ The game successfully innovates on the Dark Souls formula in two ways
+ The roster of bosses is sufficiently diverse
+ The difficulty progression is well done
+ The game has a fair amount of replayability value
+ The visual and audio presentation are quite good
Cons:
– Lacking weapon variety
– Cheesing bosses by regenerating HP
– Barebones UI
– Some performance issues
– Too few graphical options
