Nice 25 minute video there to make a 2 minute point. It's almost like he's deliberately dragging something out to make more money.
That's basically all he does. Gotta get to that 10 min mark.
Also just beat the Atlantis storyline and who wrote this shit? MAJOR SPOILERS
Spoiler:
So basically, Kassandra (or Alexios), has been alive for the past 2500 or so years and has done squat.
Then she shows up and tells modern day woman that the current state of things is all her fault, because no shit she's been doing fuck all for the past couple of millenia, then proceeds to make a speech about how it's all up to modern day woman to fix things or whatever, gives her the spear of immortality, then proceeds to die.
Wouldn't the immortal warrior with 2500 years of experience and knowledge be better of to lead humanity in whatever the crisis is (haven't beaten an AC game since 2 so dunno what the modern day story is now apart from Desmond dying) than some idiot modern day woman who decides to go off to Greece to explore ruins because she saw it in the animus before seeing how to open the ruins in the past?
So she's there with a laptop and I guess the battery and processor on that is super strong because she can just go use the animus in an underwater cave with no electricity.
They're going to have to retcon a ton of shit to explain why Kassandra was doing fuck all. If she's so concerned about saving humanity, why not start her own secret organization that guides humanity in the right direction?
Also 2500 years and she didn't bother to get a new hairstyle. Huh. But that's nitpicking.
Anyway, story is really weak and dumb and they really needed to merge all three storylines instead of separating them.
The Cult is pretty dumb too because if they helped Kassandra reunite her family then they would have succeeded because there's really not much of a difference between Kassandra and the Cult.
Getting the nations to fight themselves in order to profit is what most Cult members want, and Kassandra fighting for both Athens and Sparta where it's convenient and financially rewarding is basically the same thing.
She would have made a great cultist, but they really fucked up their sales pitch.
The modern day seems to be mostly used in the comics and books for the game now, it went a bit weird somewhere after starting out with some bleak dystopic but still near future setting in the first few games.
And to this later on after AC3 somewhere.
The templars identify fairly easily too it seems.
There's a few different ones though, above is from Uprising though there's Templar as well and probably others for the comic format and then books or light novels too and more.

It's all over the place now but the two newest games seem to distance themselves a bit and try to remain self contained which yeah after the clusterfuck that seems to be the comics expanding on the modern day setting and lore I wouldn't wanna the writing having to touch that either.
EDIT: It could have been interesting though but from the examples I'm finding it's pretty messy with trying to add in more of Minerva and Juno and their conflict plus Assassin's and Templar's being on opposite scales of similar ideologies and how to guide mankind.
Spoiler:
And the son of Desmond Miles.

Yeah that too, I need to check on how this is connected if at all but that's a pretty major plot point they just kinda removed in alternate media outside of the main games where the story actually started.
EDIT: One day I should probably read the issues in entirely just to see what's actually happening but eh later perhaps.
EDIT: Though the Isu are still kinda around in Origins and Odyssey but very far removed from the main plotline at least for Origins, need to resolve the final story path for Odyssey I suppose to see how that sets things up although I already know most of the events from it.
They should just drop that uninteresting animus crap completely (which I guess they did in the last two games?). It wasn't good in the first game nor the movie... and I doubt anywhere else.

Yeah, in Blackflag I didn't really care about the modern day stuff.
My hope for the modern day stuff was that Desmond would finally start being an assassin and you'd get actual gameplay in the modern world where you take out modern day templars and have it be fun unlike that escape sequence in one of the games.
Dunno if that happens with the other Ezio games; I only played 2 I think.
But then Desmond dies and this bleeding effect thing seems to be just pointless horse shit.
As they've relegated the MD story to comic books, just make a game without any MD stuff.

It's clear they don't want to do the MD stuff because they've written themselves into a corner, especially now with that stupid reveal at the end of the Atlantis questline.
They should just drop it. It feels like they want to keep the MD stuff because it's a series tradition or something, but most of the people who play AC now probably haven't played the first couple of games anyway.
You basically need at least a CPU from Sandy Bridge-generation and forward (excluding Pentium G's, certain Xeons and Celerons).
Oh, thanks for helping me to realize that! I have a Skylake. I just turned out some settings to High instead of Ultra, turned on V-sync and crashes stopped
No idea what causes that effect but diving from the boat does the same but causes no damage, just a bit of blood forming in the water so I guess it's a bug involved with the diving animation somehow.
EDIT: Then again the game has a thing for really weird blood decals and placement so yeah probably someone on the dev team having certain tastes.
(Multi-sexual team of various fetishes and tastes or what the disclaimer at the start says.)
Or a big part of the finishing animations being groin attacks.
And these are a bit bloodier.

Hmm that makes sense for most of it, although not going to the boat and disembarking from it without having entered any fight at all including getting near the various pirate ships which I guess can also trigger the effect if you get hit just trying to sail away.
(OH NOES COASTLINE! And the ship going at snail pace for no reason at all while being pelted by every Greek butt pirate in the area.)
EDIT: Though it might be a snag in the code thinking it might still have been a combat encounter.
It actually runs a little bit worse for me. For the most part it's between 70 and 80 FPS on an i7-4790 and a 1080ti but for no obvious reasons I will get heavy stuttering in between (even on something like the map). Also annoying: I use a XB1 gamepad and the game constantly switches to M/K on screen icons even though I didn't touch either. Other than that, I really like it.
