One of the biggest moans I have in life is regarding the insurance companies. It's a thought that crosses everyones mind when getting a quote on their policy.

How do they get away with it in this day of age; If I was a women I would save around £400 on my insurace. This is a sexest world we live in today. An outrage; however I come to terms with it. Until a bloody car insrance advert comes on TV stating it's an insurance company just for girls.

Would I get away with opening a bank, supermarket, restaurant just for women?

http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=women+car+insurance

Insurance is based on age, vehicle type and gender. I can understand the age thing, and I can understand the vehicle type thing ~ but god I dont understand the gender. Yes there are statistics showing males having more of a risk in accidents; but dont forget some of the greatest drivers in the world are infact men. Everyone is different and should be treated as individual.

Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

But all of the safest drivers are women. I'll fully admit that women have more accidents then men. But they're minor bumps and scratches. The more serious accidents are inflicted by men. It's an uncommonly known fact that when you're hurt in a car accident the state doesn't pay for any treatment. The insurance companies pay. Then theres compensation and that's all before any monies are paid out for fixing or replacing vehicals.

So yes womens car insurance should be cheaper as we cost the companies far far less in payments.

And thats where you are wrong Jenni, not all women should get cheaper insurance, all people who dont have accidents should get cheaper insurance. there are both men and women who cant drive and get alot of accidents and there are both men and women who drive really safe without accidents.

These 'women only' insurers aren't actually better for the women in most cases and are just trying to tap into their gullibille mindset and try to capture this niece. Expect a white van drivers insurance in the not so distant future.

People who don't have accidents do get cheaper insurance. But what you're missing JP is that insurance is all about risk. Lower risk means lower insurance. Women have far less serious and therefore less costly accidents.

I agree with Jenni here. And let's not forget men generally get jobs easier, get higher pay, have the highest paying jobs, and generally don't have to pay as much for cosmetics and lots of other bollocks.

I'd say being a man is better financially overall, who cares about car insurance?

Hehehe. I think you'll find more men are more gullible than men. Scams are more inflicted on men than women.

Put on some make-up, a tight sexy dress, a splash of perfum. Go to the car insurance office, pick out a guy that can help you, and get that cheaper insurance personnally.

Been driving since I was 17. Never had as much as a parking ticket, much less an insurance claim.

Exactly , women dont have the accidents they just cause them.

They crawl along at snail pace and force us blokes to overtake them in places (like bends) where accidents are more likely to occur.

Only one thing worse than women drivers and thats fucking pensioners !

" been driving forty years and never had an accident" ( best Granddad voice)

(me)" No, but I bet youve fucking caused hundreds"

Just get down to Sheila's wheels. Razz
