Yeah, I was unimpressed overall in comparison with the huge hype the game had for itself, couldn't push myself to finish it once the initial "wow" effect wore off.
The absence of actual dungeons was kind of a deal-breaker to me, I haven't played many Zelda games to the end and I was looking forward to exploring those huge dungeons the series is so famous for.

You can remove the pins in the map.
Sometimes the pins are out of the map.

I get that not everyone can like the game and it has it's faults, especially weapon breaking, fuck that, but I don't get the criticism about the open world itself.
For me all the things that are brought up as negatives, like lack of direction, icons, lists etc. are actually reasons why for me it is one of the best and most organic open worlds ever created.
It's such a breath of fresh air (or the wild LELELEL) after playing some of the ubishit that is cluttered with tiring busywork.
I found it very rewarding to plot my own course across the map, constantly finding some shit here and there and getting sidetracked, especially given the verticality of the map and the ability to simply climb everywhere.
To be honest though, it took over 10 hours for the game to "click" for me and become one of my favs instead of just a good game.

I loved the game overall. I will say I might only feel that way because after 30 hours of wandering I started getting bored and rushed to finish it.
+Loved the open world
+Liked the addition of crafting
+Art style
-Breakable weapons FUCK
-Lack of Dungeons like previous games

To be fair, this game forces me to manage my inventory so often, it just overwhelms everything else, making me be harsher on other flaws as well. I absolutely hate limited inventories - it's the first thing I tend to cheat on in games such as Dragon Age Inquisition, Fallout 3 & 4, Skyrim, The Witcher 3, etc. I find there's no real reason for it except to annoy the player. Forcing me to constantly chose between weapons and then making me curse 5 minutes later for having gotten rid of the torch because I need it to light a cauldron just pisses me off. The same goes for the bows.

It seems to me that most people that didn't like the game and found it boring were people that didn't care about its story and the "reward" of searching for the "pictures" to get more background about the story.
I liked that the only way to get to know the story was to actually PLAY the game in a linear way but in an open world.
This is why I think this open world is very well done, it forces you to do some exploration yet it manages to tell a story, that you can ignore if you want...
I played 20h i think and got bored, but 20h is a lot for me, I barely can play >10h games anymore.
To me this is my favorite open world game with GTA5.
But for sure if you don't care about exploration, climbing to progress, then it's shit.

I fully agree that the non-linear aspect of the game was very well-done and did indeed give a true impression of freedom that only a handful of games have achieved, I just didn't find that the exploration was that rewarding in itself in terms of actual content - it mostly was as rewarding as your imagination/excitation made it out to be. The fact that I'm quite clueless about the Zelda universe probably played a part into that feeling.

So now that SX OS 1.7 is out you guys can see that all these rumors about 6.0 were bullshit. And they did change keys for 6.0 but it's useless anyway at this point...

I find this feature quite useless, and too dirty for my liking. Well useless when you are already banned at least

It's useless overall and there are already reports of bricks, so better not to use EmuNAND.

if you are using homebrew too, maybe you have corruption cuz of exFAT. If you are in exFAT then I suggest you format it to FAT32. Somehow homebrew app access exFAT not in a good way.
Had many corruption issues cuz of it (installed games that were deleting themselves from the Switch because "game couldn't be started") and ever since I formated it to FAT32, no problem.

Think I'll hold off on buying a switch for awhile and hopefully these sd card prices will come down more. I'd only be interested in Mario odyssey on it now anyway as I have BOTW on Wii U. But there are several games coming that will force my hand eventually: Metroid Prime 4, Bayonetta 3, Luigi's Mansion 3, No More Heroes 3.
