Nice one. Thanks for the heads up

Is this your typical WWII game where the Americans saved the world and the rest of the allies supposedly drank tea and took it easy? Or is it actually an accurate historical portrayal?

This is an RTT with an authentic campaign and and extremely realistic gameplay.

Damn, I suck at this game so bad. :-\ Can't even win the first mission. Most of the time I don't even know WTF I am doing, LOL.

Gameplay seems a bit chaotic to me: selecting the units I want is a pain in the ass because their icons do not tell much. Also, a toolbar/sidebar with all units clickable would be real handy. I know I can always slow sdown the game, but I don't want to do that.

You'd get used to it, read a brief strategy guide if you need to I guess but its not necessary, most can be learnt just playing the game.

Use Q (hunt) a lot, fast move where needed, watch for AT guns.

I always switch to NATO icons, it may be confusing at first but in the end they are most recognizable imo.

Just switched from NATO icons to RTS. Seems better for now, I'll see later on.

I'm aware of the tactics I need to employ, I just somehow don't get the hang of the game. Not yet, at least.

The campaign map is certainly busy, overflowing with units and potential targets. Thousands of troops need to be sent all over the battlefield, necessitating a network of HQs and supply depots to keep them in fighting condition. And before you send them up against the enemy, there are dense lists of stats to pore over for every unit, detailing their training, weapons, and ammunition. Eugen is essentially building an operational wargame, like Unity of Command without the hexes.

Steel Division 2, Eugen Systems’ gargantuan RTS wargame, now has a release date. It’s due out on April 4 and can already be preordered on Steam. The developer has also revealed that owners of Steel Division: Normandy 44 will get exclusive divisions drawn from the original game for free in Back to War pack.

hmm, I liked SD but I dunno about aiming big. So far it seems like more of the same, they could at least make it a bit prettier. Hopefully a better campaign though.

In this video, we're fighting a skirmish Battle. This battle was only played once, and wasn't cut it to make it look like the perfectly-executed battle. Some tactical mistakes were made. Some good men died. Damn war.

This video was entirely shot by capturing the game while playing, and by using the in-game replay tool.

In this video, we're playing Army General, the brand-new 1:1-scale Turn-Based Dynamic Strategic Solo Campaigns. Relive history in the huge single player Dynamic Strategic Campaigns: lead thousands of men on up-to 150x100 km maps, plan your battalion' movements, manage supply and execute your strategy in week-long campaigns in this historically accurate turn-based game mode. Every battalion is the same as it was during the Operation Bagration.

way to complex and micro management , means the ai will be dogshit cause they cant do any of that shit except with the intelligence of a toddler

unity of command had some decent ai cause it was simple and maps where tiny and supply routers where massive priority in their porgramming, but on this scale, forget about it lol

Wow, did I uninstall this quickly...

How this game uses 35gb, I can't quite understand.

It looks the same as the first one and plays the same as the first one...

Boring pos, lol.

In a sense, you have supply trucks, a bit like Wargame. In SD there are also leader/commander connections via radio etc.

I actually enjoy this one a lot (did like SD44 too), its a lot of micro but compared to traditional RTS, you dont need to manage buildings which is something I really like, just focus on your units and reinforcements.

The game is great, I'm just not in the mood for it right now.

They also released Warno in Early Access, which is very promising, but badly lacks content.
