Usb a to usb c cable
Is all you need.
If you have an android phone with usb c and a usbc to usbc charger cable... youre also set.
All you need is the cable to plug it in.
Software for mac theres already a few dont remember the name atm.
Payload on the sd card.

Thanks for sharing. I am aware I need to format then put SD card into switch in the official OS to get it set up right.
Regarding USB cables, I have a MBP 2018 so it has a USB-C to USB-C cable in the form of the power cable.
So really all I need to find is the online fusee launcher (the best one) for CHrome on macs

Well, all hacked. Super easy, and the SX OS is really clean - was happily surprised to see they download metadata for the XCI files - deffo worth the £22 I spent imo.
Had to use a dot_clean command in terminal to clean up my memory card, as OSX leaves ._ files hidden on the card and SX OS shows them (they said they'll fix next release).
My only two remaining wishes:
1. TX release a version which allows for eShop games to be played
2. Some group release Golf Story - very keen to play it after one of you recommended it but no physical release!

i was going to use a paperclip yesterday but i thought the jig would come today so held off, but it will probably come tomorrow and i will be working all weekend so i will just wait until Monday now. my only concern is i have a sx os key that i bought a few days ago that's not activated yet, hope it works come Monday.

Theres a payload that can allow you access to sd card through usb. Dont remember the name but was mentioned on gba a few times.

memloader is the payload but it's slower to write to SD that way.
