The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
The second piece of information was that the public beta will start on the Xbox One before it starts on other platforms. The reason for this is not entirely clear. Bethesda has so far not made any indication that they have any preferential deals or agreements with Microsoft. It could simply be a technical issue; for instance, it might take less time to set the game up on the servers for Xbox. It also could be to help Bethesda track bugs and problems. Releasing on a single platform first would allow them to focus all of their efforts on the Xbox version before they start monitoring all the different versions at once.
Their games and DLC's have a record of releasing only (morrowind and oblivion, at first) or firstly on xbawks since... ever, it's to be expected.

Phil Derper has to throw out all the money for (timed) exclusives to make at least a few people buy shit on Xbone nowadays.

So, 20 years after the apocalyptic Great War, West Virginia is sunny and covered with vegetation? And where is the gameplay, this is pretty much the same video from E3?
It's a bit odd I think there was something about the area being hit less hard but then you have this end-game about capturing nuke bunkers so you'd think the area would have been completely shelled during the war since both sides (US and China.) would have had good intel on each others nuke silos and what not.
On the other hand people have wanted more vegetation and life in the Fallout games for a while now even if it might not be wholly fitting depending on how the war played out especially if this some 20-ish years after the big bomb.
(The entire nuclear winter period and ash covering the world lasted significantly longer as I recall but that was the original two games and then Tactics on the side as it's own thing.)
EDIT: New Vegas even had it's own in-game explanation for defending against almost all of the missiles but the ones that did hit made the place look pretty blasted out anyway though then again 8 out of 28 in total and modern payloads and yeah it would be pretty bad depending on what landed where.
I forgot the exact amount but if they spend 20 some nukes on Las Vegas of all places they can probably hit the rest of the US with significantly more.
Though Bethesda rewrites the canon periodically, watch some game set in the Chinese region in the future even if multiple games have stated that China=crater after the amount of bombs the US sent their way during the "war" even if it was brief.
EDIT: I do wonder if they'll expand more on what went down but I suppose that's gone with Bethesda taking over the franchise and it's part of the mystery.
If China was hit far worse then they couldn't have struck first but on the other hand if the US attacked first that seems silly since they were beaching the new T-49's and a few T-50 power armor troops cutting through almost the entire Chinese defense line after Anchorage so nuking would be kinda stupid but eh, politics and Fallout's darker more satirical view of the world situation plus splitting from the real world events during the 1950's though still keeping close to a cold war scenario and economic problems although against China more so than Russia.
Suppose it doesn't matter too much for this game though or the future of the franchise since Bethesda will do whatever they want with it and whatever sells.
(Probably keeping the core lore somewhat same but vague and open for interpretation and changes.)
Bit interested in seeing more of the game but I'm not a fan of online only and the PvP aspect seems very prone to ganking and abuse heh.
It's a bit odd I think there was something about the area being hit less hard
This is irrelevant, nuclear winter is canon in the lore.

If people want vegetation and life, then maybe they shouldn't play a game called Fallout.
Even if I say that Fallout is dead to me, it still pains me to see the direction Bethesda has taken for the series.

Yeah, all those forests and wood make 0 sense if it's twenty years after direct ground hits in the area. The explanation will probably be magical nukes or something

Didn't they explain that west Virginia was pretty much spared?

Ultimately, I believe they don't even care about fallacies/inaccuracies here. It's a product that is winking at other post-apocalyptic crowds who prefer spending their time hunting together in the forest, acquiring micro-caps through the Bethnukebox, building sheds with fluorescent hanging dickbutts and noscoping other folks from afar whilst bunnyhopping and writing ez noob ur rekt in the chat. But it has the Vault boy, so it's still Fallout! - Bethesda
Hello asset re-use. Although I guess since this isn't developed directly by Bethesda they aren't doing their usual 100% reworking of everything.
(Aside from the engine.)
So it's fallout but focusing on some online experience, just who is this targeting anyway aside from slapping the brand-name on some product trying to compete with entirely different types of games.
Which is probably what it's doing, going against Ark, Rust, Pub-G and Fortnite probably most of all as the current top-end game in this type of genre?
Eh well it can't do worse than having some brief success at the start as people check it out and then the player base trails off and it gets taken down. Or perhaps it'll still be able to cling on, it's not a full MMO but if they add periodic content updates without going full DLC it might not split things too badly but then again the base concept is already quite far out for what the game is usually associated with.
(Well it sure ain't multiplayer at least heh.)
Guessing professional (*Well, in the context of it.) reviews are going to be quite different from independent or the Steam ones but eh what do I know, could be a big hit but I expect the player base to start dropping early unless they can retain the content addition and keep up to date with patches and such and fixing reports exploits and issues with netcode and all that stuff that's being introduced.
Could also influence Bethesda or Zenimax's further business decisions depending on how it goes, Elder Scrolls Online got a revival after a bit of a slump but as a MMO it's not directly comparable to a regular online game or how to say.
Eh probably a better acronym with some tuning, cosmetic, cosmetic... eh maybe something more along the industries fascination with that sort of "non-advantage" content at least.
