Just so you guys know, there is an uber bug in both xbox and pc versions of the game.

It turns out that when you Load a savegame, all difficulty values get reset to NORMAL level (even if you started the mission on HARD or EXPERT).

Dunno if this is ever gonna get patched, seeing as how those d*cks at Eidos laid off a good portion of the team as soon as the game went out the door.

Don't believe me? Head on over to the T3 official ionstorm forums (google it, I don't wanna risk posting links)

This isnt a problem for non-hardcore fans, but I feel cheated finishing it on what I thought to be expert, when in reality everything was reset as soon as you load Sad

it seems i'm not such a l337 Expert Mastah after all Sad
and it surely explains why i never needed to use a single moss arrow (except Pagan tasks)

I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad, The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had.

SELECT EXPERT in the game.

Never load or save game( with load save the game will not be expert)

Play game without saving once.

It would be good, then at least people would use the flashbombs instead of quickloading as soon as they get discovered.

One thing I dislike about thief 3 is that the zombie bodies dissapear. I don't think there is any excuse for having bodies magically go poof unless loads of enemies need to be rendered.

I installed the game last weekend, and I really enjoyed it. Right now I'm at the docks... The progress is kind of slow, because I really don't have the energy to play a game like Theif for a longer amount of time. Sad Instead I find myself playing CS for hours, and that game aint even funny. Sad

Same with me, I think thief 3 is a great game but I end up playing warcraft 3 for hours Wink

It's nothing compared to one of the later levels, an old asylum. very atmopsheric.

This is one of the best games ive ever played, a classic indeed.

yup. This game is the scariest I played since AvP2 and system schock 2. The cradle level beats any other game released in past few years when it comes to fear factor. And its not just schock effects. its the whole atmosphere of the level that makes it so creepy, the creepy sound effects etc.

What makes the level so special is that you are the hunted, not the enemies are being hunted by you like in the other levels. Your enemies surprise you and you've always got the feeling of being watched...

As you're facing the museum, along the wall on your left is an opening which leads to a ladder going down. Inside that area is a tunnel with the glyph symbol that you activate to begin the mission. If there's no glyph, you haven't progressed far enough in the game for that mission and you won't be able to go through.

I've scanned every inch of that wall on the left, and i still can't seem to find this entrance that you're talking about. This is weird, because this is supposed to be my next objective in the game... all the previous ones have been checked! ahh!!

Hmm maybe I wasn't specific enough. First of all make sure you're in the right area. The museum is in the far north on your map...make sure that's where you are. The first time you come to this area you should overhear a couple talking about their plan to break in, in which they mention the already-dug tunnel.

If you're facing the museum, i.e. at the bottom of the steps looking up at the door blocked by a porticullis, go up the steps hugging the wall on the left. At the top of the first set of steps (there is a similar opening at the bottom of the steps...not that one), there is an opening on the left, go in it. At the end of the opening is a grate in the floor that you must open, then go down the ladder. That's probably what you've been missing, I did the first time. That is the area where the tunnel is. If you're at the point in the game where breaking into the museum to steal the artifacts is the next mission, there will be a Keeper glyph in front of the tunnel opening (you don't actually go inside of the tunnel) that you activate to begin the mission.

Those grates are easy to miss since like all the other actionable stuff they light up only when you get close to them. Very Happy

I finally got around the beating Thief 3. Overall a bit short. The last level was dissapointingly easy. But it was one of the best games I have played in a long long time.

I played it off and on for about 2 weeks and just finished it last night. I actually felt it was decent in length compared to most games these days that have 10 hrs of gameplay.

The textures were not very good and the character animations could have been a little more fluid, but I felt the pros easily made up for the cons.
I enjoyed it very much 8/10
