The review seemed a bit biased, why didn't he mention the supposed respawns for example, something that a lot of roleplayers will not like..

but i think it looks fantastic, so much better than the trailers which left me with a "meh, this doesnt looks very impressive". The combat looks fun and they seemed to have really nailed the atmosphere

I had to postpone many playthroughs lately because of the needed ongoing Patientbear-approved patching (KCD, Pillars 2 and so on) *shakes fist*, here's hoping this one can be tackled without any major problems. The body is craving for digital vampiresque blood!

Haven't downloaded it yet, but since the game uses UE4 there might be some useful .ini files inside the save folder that can be tweaked/adjusted (typically GameUserSettings.ini), worth a try. Razz

From the reviews that are coming in, you'll probably have to postpone this one as well.
Shitty reviews overall.

Not a big deal, really. The dodge mechanic is smooth and for places you're supposed to be able to get up to you just point and hit the use key to bat-form your way up there.

Really enjoying this thus far! My one gripe is that the subtitles don't show the character's full dialogue line, often times they're split up so if you read and then left click to skip the audio you miss the second part of what they have to say - which is really stupid.

Also the lock system is kinda shit, but I only really use it for boss fights.

Gameplay question, is there any reason why I should not immediately kill an innocent if I have exhausted all dialogue and hint options and maximized their xp potential? Basically, are there actual consequences? Razz

Yes, there is a special ending reserved for people who don't kill a single named NPC throughout the entire game.

1 and 2 are still amazing.

It's not about getting somewhere by jumping. The absence of jumping is immersion-breaking in a third-person action adventure. Are we playing as an amputee? Laughing

Got to the hospital and slept once in my office.

Pretty decent so far. Basically one of the best mid-budget game in recent years. Just as The Surge was not up to par when directly comparing it to Dark Souls, but it was still a really good experience, Vampyr is also not a real "AAA" game, but still very much enjoyable. The social mechanic looks interesting, yet to dive deeper into it tho.

Just wish we could release bitten humans before draining them fully. I made the mistake of biting that drunk at the hospital, and the tutorial message led me to believe I can let him go after drinking a little. Apparently in this universe vampirism spreads just by biting, not the WoD method (drain, then feed vampire blood to the victim).

Also, the thing about playing through the game without killing anyone is BS. Apart from the first 2 minutes (not gonna spoil it), there was also a room during the opening chase where I had to kill 2 hunters to open a door.

I guess we can only avoid killing named NPCs, regular mobs are inconsequential.

Here's a CheatEngine table:
https://fearlessrevolution.com/threads/vampyr-codex.7162/

Haven't tried it as I don't use cheats (except to solve bugs/glitches in games) normally, but tables on that forum usually do work.

Gracias!
