it does run like ass on any configuration it seems, not really a surprise i guess. also, it is a lot more clunky than even the WW2 mod on ArmA 3 (this alone deserves a medal, hard task but they made it a reality) BUT the gunplay is decent even if everything looks weird and enemies are 3 to 4 pixels beyond 50m
no idea why but hands and weapons are GIGANTIC compared to RO2 or ArmA, takes some time to get used to. overall i´d say its promising but only after they tweaked gameplay a bit (spawning is a mess) and work on dat optemisaezion

It does look promising indeed (and authentic for real, not in the way the AAA planet hilariously uses that word), I hope it can develop and mature properly...eventually
They will probably focus on optimization for the next test weekend. Although the performance is not very good but the game is going to great when they have fixed loads of issues.
I got to play for a bit and it's exactly what I wanted, Squad in WW2. It's quite authentic and the gameplay has a great feel to it. The battles are tactical yet extremely intense and they can last for hours. Sadly, the graphical fidelity isn't the best (the ground textures are killing me!) and the optimization is far from good.
been enjoying this kind of gameplay already since 2001 with forgotten hope mods in bf1942 and organized 30vs30 n 60v60 tournaments lol . Reality mod is from 2006. kind of sad we only got to this game 12 years later and still playing catchup on engine and optimizations meh
its a shame its all split up now between forgotten hope 2, reality mod and arma and other modders now trying to make this game.
community to split up to make it a big succes to fragmentated between arma and bf2mods
EA had it and tossed it away, one wargame to rule them all. fucking wankers
Release date postponed until August 9th, with "open beta" (but I'd say the more apt term would be closed, as you've gotta pay!) available to pre-orders starting July 19th (the original date it was supposed to go retail).

Basically, it's a rougher, more buggy version of squad.
It's really missing a ton of quality of life improvements that I got used to in Rising Storm 2: Vietnam - bare minimum things like a compass on top of the HUD, or an indicator for when you're still bleeding even after you've patched yourself up.
At this point I figure those are deliberate omissions, which tells me that, unfortunately, I don't breathe out of my mouth enough to be able to enjoy this as a tactical shooter.
Also, framerate was poor (at mostly high settings at 1920x1080 resolution - often dipping below 60) on the system in my sig.

The developers of this game are downright frauding people on their steam store page. The following is listed as content that is in the game (which fully "released" today).
This is the content that is listed as being in the game on the store page:
- 5 maps for a total of 140 km² of authentic playable area
- 3 game modes, such as “Offensive”, “Stratagem” and “Sandbox
- More than 40 faithfully recreated vehicles and 50 authentic weapons
- British & German factions, including the 1st Airborne Division, XXXth Corp, Waffen SS and the Wehrmacht
- The entire western vicinity of Arnhem in 1944 and Arnhem city centre with its famous bridge too far
- Source Development Kit for you to add or modify content
5 of 6 bullet points are downright lies. The game has 4 maps, Arnhem is not one of them, there's no SDK yet, there is not 40 vehicles and 50 weapons, and there is only 1 game mode.
Do not give your money to this company, they are deliberately misleading customers.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
