imo. the 360 makes me wanna buy a 360 just for nhl 2007 ... i love sports games on consoles, and the puck + skate controlls of the 360 version are as you say brutal. total "freedom" on skates and with puck + club what can one more ask for in order to enjoy the beuty of hockey, except put em skates on your own feets and wiggle out on the ice. ^^

don't, my friend works at EA Montreal (in charge of NHL07 except on 360) and played the EA Vancouver NHL2007, he told me that the graphics were nice but the gameplay really sucked. They built the 360 game from the ground up so don't get your expectations sky-high it's still the first of a franchise and well dosent look very good on the gameplay-end.
BUT, apparently the game based on the 06 graphic engine is going to be very good gameplay-wise. |

This preview seems to paint an entirely different picture. I donno about you, but I'm more inclined to believe IGN than some random person...

well they praised the new graphic engine (which is true, the game does look amazing), nothing on how the games actually plays except that you don't get as much big hits as you did before. Nothing on if it will still be as easy to get in front of the net as it did in 06, or if penalties will actually affect the play or you'll be able to score short-handed as much as in 06.
anyway; previews have been known to be full of shit, they might praise a game in a preview but diss it in the review. i guess we'll see when it comes out.

they fixed the goalie ai, that was one of my biggest beef with the previous ones, I still dont like the skating physics tho. I dont have a 360 anyways, ill buy it for current gen

Didn't wanted to open an whole thread for something that haven't been confirmed yet, so I list it as Rumor.
RUMOR: EA sports bring back to PC major Brand:

It's baffling that they aren't trying the waters again with an NHL game on PC. I think it would do quite well.

I don't think EA is making a lot of money on the NHL franchise. If they move it to Frostbite, it might be cheaper. NFL moved, which is why these kind of rumors even exist.
