Okay, so today my Radeon 9800XT broke.. why? I have no idea.. i left my pc on while i was at school and when i got back, my monitor was black.. the On LED is blinking as if it was in power-save mode... Tried a friends monitor, no go.. Tried the card in his pc, well didn´t work either. SO, now i´m buying a new one, and since AGP is by now old, i´m getting a new mobo and a new gfx-card.
Wich one should i pick between
Hightech Excalibur ATI Radeon X800GT ICE-QII 256Mb DDR3 TV-out D
ASUS GF6600GT 256MB PCIE HDTV SILENCER
?
or can you recommend any other card for the same price?

If you can get your hands on the Sapphire X800GTO2 (no idea how to make the ^2 thingie) and have just a little luck you will most likely be able to unlock it to a X800XT PE... 
Since you're swedish read about it at www.sweclockers.com... 
You could also try to find a used 6800GT om various sites (nordichardware.se, sweclockers.com or 64bits.se) very many of them are going away pretty cheap nowadays.
Thats my advice...

I would go for the ATI card. Though if important to you, it's worth remembering that the Nvidia card has SM3.0 support and superior OpenGL drivers to that of the ATI card.
On the other hand, if cash is tight and you are reluctantly about to fork out the cash to switch from AGP to PCI-e by replacing your CPU, Motherboard and GPU why not ust get yourself an AGP based ATI X800XL/850XT/6800 Ultra based card. They perform extremely well in all the latest games and are still great value for money.
Also worth remembering that for example, a 6800 for PCI-e offers no performance advantage over the equivalent AGP based 6800 card.

I´m getting a new mobo of course, a new gfx and new cpu (going over to AMD64)
And cash is a big issue here, though those two cards i listed has almostg the same price.. I picked out the parts from 2 different stores, please tell me what you think:

What do you need that 650W PSU for, that's way overpowered unless you wanna upgrade to SLI/Crossfire later. I think a 450W would be more than sufficient.

Okay, but besides form the PSU, nothing should be changed? Note that i already have 1 GB of PC3200 DDR400 Ram..
The GF6600GT is good enough for new and coming games? Okay, easier question, how much better is it than my Radeon 9800XT AGP?

try and find yourself a opteron 146 or 144, there dirt cheap and overclock loads, mine does 3.0 ghz with out breaking a sweat which isnt bad for £115 consdering a 2.8 fx57 is £600+. also the gto2 gets my vote aswell, i have one and it does over x850xtpe speeds (run 600 core and 610 mem for everyday use) or try and find a 6800gt if you can if your main use will be gaming as it has ps 3.0 , actually a 6800gs would be a good choice so you can go sli at a later date
6600gt is quite a bit better then a 9800xt, but youll find it will struggle with newer games at high settings/decent settings
youll need a 650w psu if your getting the gold ones on the sweex site as there crap, the 650 is only 25a on the 12v rail

I have a Leadtek 6600GT on AGP, and I can only say I'm not satisfied with it. Price was ok, but the image quality comes with a rather big hit over performance. It suports SM 3.0, so what? You can't activate all the SM 3.0 options cause then you'll have a slideshow. Drivers? They suck big time. I didn't see any improvements with newer ones over the 4-5 months old that came with the card. And there's a catch here: you can't go neutral in the driver's profile, you have to go either performance or quality. Until now, I had only ATi cards, and I bought this nVidia just because of the price. If I had a little bit more money I would have gone with X800GTO. I was unbiased until I bought this, but from now on, it's only ATI for me.

i think the abit ul8 is agp
for about 6600 sek you could get a 7800gt, 3500 venice, ECS pci motherboard and a good tagan psu

I think upgrading your system this time of year is a mistake. The big game titles have come and gone. The next big titles that will come with innovations in terms of requirements will be here probably Q4 this year, as they do every year. No matter what you buy right now, you'll be unsatisfied with it when fall/winter releases come. AMD is launching it's new AM2 socket this Q2, by fall I think there will be a significant drop in prices for the 939 MB/CPUs. So either you choose to go for the new socket (for the same amount of money) or for the 939 (for less money or for better perfomance), you'll gain more if you upgrade later this year. Evolution on 939 is pretty much over, AMD will not launch faster CPUs than FX60 and will keep the current 939 line in production for about 18 months after AM2 launch.
The best thing (I think), is to get a card that compares to your later 9800XT and keep your current setup. This will get you working for about a year. If you say money are a big issue, I think this is the way to go, a mid range card every year in November does the trick for me, a big platform change every 3-4 years tops is required.
