@ ixi, drowning, Some hump races maybe tonight? Are there lobbies? How mp works? I haven't checked at all the MP portion of the game.
What amazes me is that there's not a single PC review of the game. Also:
Im up for racing anytime till 21:30 tonight.
The legit game uses lobbies and its p2p hosting.
netcode is a bit bad atm, with occasional random disconnects and crashes jsut in the online portion of the game.
Got around 80ish online races so far. I can even win now if there aren't really good players present Haven't touched single palyer since the online is such a blast.
Online is just fantastic, especially when host turns collisions of. with collisions on its often whoever gets out of the first few corners without getting rammed wins, unless the skill diference is so big that people can catch up to him.
Aw, I missed all the fun it seems . Well, I hope you had fun! With the Witchy on board it's tough, I can already see him doing hidden tricks and using his immense knowledge to take epic shortcuts like a pro Tony Cairoli
That's actually very common, haven't played much but it's already happened to me a couple of times. When the bike gets so frisky it becomes indomitable like a raging bull and there's nothing to do. The rest was great, you nailed all the turns/timings.
Early this morning we have released a minor update.
It's just a test but you already should experience an improvement overall the online stability, and less lag. We are also working on fixing the "account creation issue" and other bug reported.
More updates will follow.
Gotta test out if it crashes still randomly after a few races.
MXGP2 – The Official Motocross Videogame, scheduled for launch in february 2016 on Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC/Steam.
Quote:
The stars of this new title are the riders, the teams, and the circuits of the 2015 season that have kept spectators glued to their screens and on the edges of their seats right up to Romain Febvre clinching the world title at the Netherlands MXGP on 30 August. As if that weren't enough, MXGP2 ups the stakes: the game covering the 2015 season brings a breath of fresh air, along with a blast of exhaust fumes, with the introduction of vehicle and rider customisation, indoor arena events, and much, much more. MXGP2 will ensure players keep one hand ready on the throttle, placing them firmly at the centre of the videogame experience.
The career mode is present and correct, alongside on-line and off-line modes to challenge players and push their gamepads to the limits, right up to the ultimate test: winning the title of undisputed Motocross champion, standing shoulder to shoulder and riding bar to bar with leading names in international Motocross racing, like Ryan Villopoto and eight-time world champion Tony Cairoli.
milestone is one of those studios that always makes me wonder if their aiming for mediocrity. they just don't care about customer feedback at all. just keep churning out games as they see fit
i bet my ass it will have the same crap AI, and same issues as the first game.
Just did some ISOMX2 races, and while everything feels familiar (even too much, a Milestone trademark ), somehow it doesn't convince me.
There are more tracks and contents overall, but the graphical upgrade leaves to be desired since they also applied a layer of smeary vaseline, and the dynamic terrain itself has been gimped a bit compared to the first game. Handling is almost the same, only turning feels quicker (not a fan of that) and as for the AI, I need more time to judge it, but so far I'm not impressed. They also added the rewind feature this time, for better nextgen value.
Yeah, doesn't really bring anything new to the Mototable but it could have gone worse.
The handling is pretty much the same old despite the new engine, only more responsive (albeit not in a realistic way), the AI seems relatively alright(ish), the lighting is better - textures on the other hand leave to be desired, same for the AA methods (ultra-heavy FXAA and TAA) which only produce an industrial amount of vaseline and they must be disabled asap.
It's the usual Milestone rehash job sold for 50€ which goes beyond human comprehension, but for some quick mindless isorides it can provide some good ol' fun.
Honorable mention to the implementation of rain though, possibly one of the worst ones ever seen in modern gaming:
MXGP PRO is a brand-new start, designed to meet the need of the most demanding fans to relive the real spirit of Motocross. Based on the community feedback, players will be able to setup each single parameter of their bike basing on real values and metrics. This
is what PRO is set to be, a videogame with a completely new soul!
