Nah it doesn't, he should be glad he can create great sets and atmosphere + the actors doing a good job to get a 6.

Horrible fucking songs.

Aquapenis and mute 7,5/10
I enjoyed the visual style very much. The story itself was, well... about as good as story about loving a fishman can be. Too bad it was full of usual clichés.

Small Town Crime: 9/10
One of the better movies I've seen this year, decent story, good characters. John Hawkes did a great job as lead, worth a watch.

Still watching. Solid 6/10.
Alright. 7.5/10
The jokes are solid and the action is decent for a straight to DVD err Netflix!

the titan 2018 2/10, 2 points for being sci fi
utter garbage script , plots , acting, setting and ending is a ELE disaster
like seriously, such a good starting point, but completely ruined from the get go, who puts military family test subjects in million dollar villas, its like a sponsor of the movie absolutly wanted his house in the movie to show all his friends how cool he is, and let mutating people just sleep in their own bed next to their wives and kids ... FUCK OFFFFFFFFFFF , sci fi writers all had lobotomies these days

The Titan: 4/10. It was watchable on a wasted time paradox. After the end scene I was wondering that a better use of the running time, would have been sleep.

The Phantom Thread - 8/10
A very unique take on romance, it slowly makes you delve into the characters, their peculiar habits and inner awkwardness. The plot itself isn't a complex one by any means, it's all about the actors in a fascinating introspective way. Daniel Day-Lewis is (as always ) incredible, Vicky Krieps does a fine job as well and PTA's rock-solid direction does the rest. Honorable mention to the beautiful orchestral score. *starts cooking a special omelette*

The Titan
2/10
Decent premise but VERY badly executed. For a start, the story had terrible pacing - first it's all about family until at the hour mark they suddenly go "yeah fuck that, let's completely magically turn them into aliens". The story also has some plot holes (or plain mistakes).
Spoiler: | They introduce animal DNA, claim they don't know what will happen since the process is said to be random yet two of them turn out exactly the same way.
On top of all this, the biggest plot hole is the fact that they select these top end soldiers and people out of billions - so how would their project work if only the best of the best even stand a tiny chance? They completely gloss over the practical side of the project. It takes months to turn them into these creatures, tons of training - are they expecting to do this for millions of people? And how would they get them to Titan anyway?
Heck, the story goes on about how billions will die if the project fails ... but they will die anyway. The only thing the project would do, would be to allow mankind to survive ... as a different species. But mankind will survive even after society breaks down - just lots of people will die.
It all makes little sense because they probably had a good idea and then forced a shitty background story so the idea could have a framework but it's such a shaky one that you can't take the rest of the movie seriously. And don't get me started on the forced nonsense like "his eyes now need more brain power because we changed how sensitive they are - but even with him being blindfolded he'll die for whatever reason." *facepalms*. |
It reminds me a little of the classic horror movie The Fly but that had a great premise - inventor, teleportation machine. It also kind of made sense as the DNA got scrambled. Here, the backstory is such so weak it falls apart. You're supposed to care for him at the end but that fails badly too since they made him so much an alien that this, too, falls flat on its face.

Paradox: 6/10.- It wasn't a waste of time at all. The best part is that with a truly low budget you can make a relative decent movie, like this one. I have to recognize that I'm a timetravelling lover freak.

12 strong , 12/100 one point of each of the typical dumb american fuck yeah bullshit, stealing the warrior code from rambo 3 , god im sick n tired of you yanks and ur holier then holy bullshit, and dumb fake ass war movies and retarded military engagement concept. Like noone of that shit in this movie is even remotly bilievable. atrocious acting, and copy paste watered down we are so cool special forces brotherhood team , vomit .... and the surrender scene, pure crack cocaine eating my braincells alive .... WTFFFFF a 5 y old can come up with a more bilievable scene
rambo 3 is a 100/100 compared to this shit.
it took u 10years to find an old lonely washed out guy in pakistan, dont u forget it , cause thats what u trying, with horseshit bullshit hero stories, so u can make the same mistakes over n over, noone of this bullshit battles in afghanistan matters one damn bit after what state u left the country in the 70-80ties in. maybe make some more movies bout that for a change
