Stop spreading lies with dates.
Oh and "the boards and rpgdot" are not fucking good enough, take the fucking time to actually sight your god damn sources. While you're at it take the time to fucking spell words properly.

And there is absolutely no reason why this Israeli site would know anything more then any other site, it's not like Israel has a very large market for games nor does it have any connection to the developers or publisher to the game.

ya, but you get this;
"Bonus DVD
The bonus DVD will include some extra features like concept art and renders and screenshots and so forth, but the real meat of it is the behind-the-scenes documentary on the making of Oblivion. "
i think that's really intressting

Mr. War you may find this interesting
http://www.elderscrolls.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=224217
Here is the standard set of specs used in what appears to be the "standard" dev machine, according to the German magazine GameStar:
AMD AthlonXP 2500+ or 2600+ (Barton Core, 333MHz FSB)
1024MB (1GB) RAM
ATi Radeon 9800pro, AGP with 256MB video RAM
The above settings would likely run the game at a fairly decent clip, and more importantly, if such machines are in use for development, they obviously run the games with all the settings "turned on."
Note that there are MANY different types of PC in use at the BethSoft HQ. From what I understand, the PC used to render that mind-blowing trailer used a pair of GeForce 6800 (GT or ultra) cards in SLi-mode. Also, the machines have varied processors; a dev (Steve Meister, a.k.a. MSFD) noted that Dell is the company's main supplier of PCs; he apparently works at debugging and optimizing from his computer, which is the same as the one mentioned by GameStar, except that it has a 3.0GHz Pentium 4. MSFD also stated that he still uses the same computer he had when Bloodmoon shipped, (in 2003) to code, test, and play Oblivion. It is believed that he has the following specs:
Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz with hyper-threading technology
1024MB RAM
ATi Radeon 9800pro, AGP with 256MB video RAM
And to note on the HDR subject, it will apparently work with all SM2.0 and later cards, but it appears that a SM 2.0 card may even be REQUIRED to play the game. (see the bottom of this post) Also, as noted in the Beyond3D Interview the game uses a shadow-mapping method instead of stencil shadows like Doom3 and F.E.A.R.; this performs far better, allows for easy, true soft shadowing, and if you have a SM 2.0 extended or SM 3.0 card, can be handled very, very fast.

well i've got a crappy r9550 GU (or smth like that).. Barton 2500+ and 1GB DDR400.. low settings for me i guess(.. next year brand new computer.. i think i can live another year with this one.. even if i don't play all titles on high .. or medium)
Quote: | Very Low-end (these cards support what's necessary for Oblivion, but are very weak, and will likely provide unsatisfying performance even for modest gamers)
Intel GMA 900 Integrated graphics (chipset 915) (much better than the "Intel Extreme," but still somewhat below a GeForce FX 5200, and perform more like the "outdated" group)
GeForce FX 5200 (different models have varying performance)
GeForce PCX 5300
GeForce FX 5700LE
GeForce FX 5500
GeForce FX 5600
S3 S8 256
GeForce 6100 IGP (integrated graphics)
Radeon Xpress 200 (integrated graphics)
GeForce FX 5700
GeForce PCX 5750
Radeon 9550
Radeon X300 HyperMemory
GeForce 6200 TurboCache
Radeon X600 HyperMemory
Radeon X300SE
Radeon 9600SE
Radeon X300
Radeon 9600 |

Well my Video Card is on the very low end, 9600. I'm happy with it and i'll keep it until I find most games require a higher end card. Which is when I'll buy the next best card I can get for 100$. Oh, and when should we be expecting this game?
