Spring has arrived and it’s time to travel somewhere sunny! Your destination is Sapienza and everyone is invited via the HITMAN Spring Pack.
The HITMAN Spring Pack is a completely FREE download and includes the entire Sapienza location (Episode 2). It's yours to keep permanently and all of your progress will carry through to the full game when you buy the Game of the Year Edition - just make sure to download it before April 3rd!
You’ll get the main story mission, ‘World of Tomorrow’, 20 levels of Mastery (including weapon and item unlocks), more than 100 challenges, 7 achievements/trophies and ALL of the Escalation Contracts, Challenge Packs and Featured Contracts that we’ve released for Sapienza. On top of all that, any Elusive Targets that are re-activated in Sapienza will also be playable through the Spring Pack.
Now is almost 18:00 CET and I don't have the Sapienza episode. I also have the Paris one since the Christmas promo but now, after I installed the game again, it sends me to the Steam page and asks me if I have Steam installed There is a "FREE Spring Pack" in the in-game Store but can't seem to find any way to install it. Maybe they forgot to activate it.
EDIT: For anyone with my problem who doesn't have Sapienza in the game, go to this SteamDB link for the DLC and press the green button FREE on the top right. This was the only way, at least for and some other people, to download the DLC for now.[/url]

Here’s another incredible milestone: Last week, we set a new all-time record for the most active users in a single day. We had to spin up our server capacity to meet demand.
Back in 2015 when we announced HITMAN, we talked about building an expanding and evolving world of assassination. These numbers prove to us that we’re pulling that off and we’re inspired to continue creating content that our players will want to play and experience. Obviously, that number was helped by our Spring Pack, which was available for a limited time. This download allowed anyone to play Sapienza, the beautiful Italian coastaltown and one of the most highly-praised locations from HITMAN.
It’s great to see so many people playing our game, liking it and wanting more of it, which is great support for us. As an independent studio, that is very important. Whenever you started playing the game, we appreciate all the support. Thank you.
Looking *slightly* to the future

Nothing. Just extra suits. WB got the publishing deal for Hitman franchise. So they have decided to make a retail copy for PS4 and Xbox One as GOTY edition didn't get a physical release to get things started.

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
Discs are expensive, little sticker with a serial key in a cheap plastic box is the future now.
(Triple digit length manuals died out years ago already, at most it's just a pamphlet for key binding defaults now.)

Definitive Edition Support
We’ve made numerous back-end changes to support the release of the Definitive Edition. This includes support for the Anniversary Outfit Bundle and displaying the WB Games logo during the bootflow for players with the Definitive Edition.
New Mission for Contracts Mode Creation
It is now possible to create and play Contracts on ‘The Source’ mission from the Patient Zero campaign. Contracts Search and Lookup functionality has also been added for this mission. Players will be required to own the GOTY missions to play Contracts on this location.
The Pharmacist
We’ve fixed an issue with ‘The Pharmacist’ Elusive Target that would cause the target to suspend their routine. This target is now back into rotation for Reactivated Elusive Targets.
Elusive Target Clarification
We’ve adjusted the messages for the Elusive Target tile on the Featured Hub to clearly show the status of the upcoming or active Elusive Target. If you have already completed or failed the contract, you will be informed of that. This will help players know whether they have previously completed or failed the contract.
PC Framerate uncapped
We’ve corrected an issue on PC that was introduced with the GOTY Edition that limited the framerate on PC to 100fps. The framerate will now be as high as your hardware and graphic settings will allow.
Clipping in Cover
We’ve fixed an issue that could cause 47 to get stuck in a wall, teleport or fall out of world in a staircase in Sapienza.
Missing Vector
We’ve fixed an issue on PS4 that could cause the game to become unresponsive when resuming the game from Rest Mode during the Vector mission.
Bonus Episode Installation
We’ve fixed an issue on PS4 that would occur when installing the game from a disc. The in-game store would display the Bonus Episode as ‘owned’ (displaying a checkbox) by default. However, the episode was not owned until a redemption voucher included in the box had been redeemed. With this change, the Bonus Episode will only show as ‘owned’ when a redemption code has been used.
Progression Counter
We’ve fixed a visual issue with the display of Location Mastery on the location menus after reaching the max level. The game will no longer display “6000 XP to next level” when reaching the max level.
Featured Complications
We’ve made a back-end fix to Featured Contracts so that any complications for those contracts are correctly displayed. Previously, the Featured Contracts menu might display that all of the complications were activated when some of them were optional. The correct functionality was set in-game and this was purely a visual issue.

I've not purchased/played any of this game but after reading a bit more about it and seeing the DE trailer, I'm quite interested. When I looked up a price for the DE version, it only showed console stuff. Is the DE a patch to the GOTY version or something? Essentially asking what version I should get to make sure I get the DE deal. Thanks!

Just get the GOTY edition.
DE is retail only and it only adds some skins and 3 (afaik) Escalations (=not needed). Whole season 1 + patient zero is in the GOTY edition.
So this image also confirms the Dutch article (that has since been taken down) was correct as he referred to the game as "Hitman 2" and predicted this week's reveal. So his statement of a November launch is suddenly a very, very, very credible leak!
Other statements from the Dutch article that have no confirmation yet, but are now assumed to be correct:
