Seems rough, game breaks at over 60 FPS (Speeds up.), 1080p locked, 4:3 aspect ratio for several things and missing visual effects and poor sound and music quality from what I'm reading.
never played 1 and 2, 3 never managed to finish, 4 i did finish. i forgot about the hd collection when i had the ps3 for a few weeks
dont know how well will play after all this time, i remember 3 was shit on pc thats why i never finished it, still want to play them. too bad hack and slash games are a thing of the past
Why not? Sure, it might be not excaly graphicely improvemnts, but from what I see it's stil better ports then DMC 3 that was years a go... and you can run them to 4k and even above am I right?
EDIT: Looks like on Consoles it's not truly 4k...(BoneX and PS4pro).
If by issues you mean the blurring from some stages and the gunshots from Ebony and Ivory in DMC1 (both), then perfect...

That though some people will prefer the new lessened effect but there's also the sound differences including some SFX now having distortion in them, desynced voices and performance problems plus some glitchy visuals with examples being the skybox in one area and the water in another.
At above 60 FPS the game goes into super speed too but this appears to be getting fixed and then there's the display resolution limit though it appears that editing the config file works.
(And so far I haven't read about any major issues from doing this.)

Guys, I'm having issues with none of the game being able to play those .wmv movie based cutscenes. Engine based cutscenes and gameplay is fine, but the .wmv based cutscenes just go to black screen. Any solution for this?
E edition of Windows?
(Meaning the WMP or Windows Media Player was stripped out.)
If the WMP was removed you'll have to re-download and add it back, same for Internet Explorer which is also stripped out.
There's codecs with these aiding in playback of this file format. If they are installed some other media program might be interfering because it doesn't use a blacklist principle and now you have some software trying to play the file for you rather than the game doing it.
Curious it started at all if something like d3d11_43.dll was missing as the .dll should cause a file not found error message and crash but I suppose that must not always the case then.
It might be that some of these do exist as default in newer versions of Windows but not all of them, after all the DirectX runtime hasn't been updated since June 2010 but it's still not fully part of new versions of the OS.
Part of the reason could be my fresh OS install and this would have needed some older .dll files to be loaded from the last DirectX release. I did run into some dll missing file when I first booted the game, but that went away when I loaded the vc_redist.x64. Then I found out that it blacked out on the intro video. Ran through the Steam forums and fortunately a chap out there had the same issue and suggested this solution. I guess the games are so old they still rely on the older DX libraries.
