After playing a while, this game is a shame of NFS.

Because NFS had a great balance between arcade and sim. Handling was surprisingly well translated when you drove. Then EA fucked up the entire series after the rather drab NFS Carbon by getting rid of Black Box (developer) and put Criterion Games (the ones that made the Burnout-series which explains the crap handling and on-rails hyperspeed shit-fest that replaced the earlier NFS-style) on the rebooted NFS-franchise which basically turned into NFS: Burnout. Later Ghost Games became a Criterion-junior developer for later NFS-games (together with Criterion).
Fuck EA, fuck Criterion. |
As far as I know Ghost games are mostly guys from blackbox. Blackbox devolopped Undercover too which was terrible... that’s why EA fired them.
Games after that sold more I think so EA seems happy with ghost games l guess.

Uhm, Ghost Games was formed in Sweden in 2011 while the Black Box-developed NFS-games ended with Undercover in 2008. The last "good" NFS-game for me was Most Wanted (2006), pre-Reboot.

what a cringe game, so fake, last year was a step in the right direction but now they ruined it again. how hard is it to hire a decent writer who is not an sjw or 14 years old?

I just started it so I haven't seen much of the story yet. I just unlocked (I guess) the first crew to take over (I think that's what I'm supposed to do). So far I have had so many stupid and forced cutscenes that it's genuinely amazing.
Driving physics seem to be better compared to the NFS '16 imo. At least so far it seems so. I haven't driven any powerful cars yet.
The casino minigames are ... well.. they're there but I don't visit the shops if I don't really have to.
I don't even follow the story anymore, I just drive for as long as I have the interest to do so.
I think that right now it's pretty hard to mash together a movie and racing game in a way NFS is trying each year. I really have to give credit to them for still trying it. Maybe some smaller studio can do it better, I'm hoping so.
I did chuckle when they joked over the drift button though.
Oh and wtf is up with not being able to customise controller feedback and deadzones? Am I blind or did they really forget it?

All that i'm into is the tuning, no other game allows you to mess with the stance like they do - love that.

IDK how, but I found the patience to finish this game, with the starter cars ( except the Race, bought a Porsche for that ).
It's shallow, very artificial and lacks depth. The only thing I liked was the car sounds and some parts of tuning ( stance, dropping the car the way you like, etc ).

The most fun I had with the game was after completing the story, buying the Koenigsiggsiggsigg and just ripping shit up all over the map at 250+mph.

Sure they can if they are willing to spend time on it. Which I don't think an average potato is willing to do.
I grabbed a trainer for cpy version but I couldn't get it to work due to the wrapper. Nod32 and Comodo shafted it even when I added an exclusion for it.
