I have played neither of these games, which should I play first?

Play Life is Strange first, and then the prequel. Before the Storm explores backstories and sides of the existing characters with plenty of references that one can catch only after having played the main game. The original is definitely a more engaging experience and superior in terms of writing/directing, and if the first episode with its silly teen antics put you off, don't do the mistake of dropping it, just persevere and you'll be rewarded. Trust me, it happened to me too Laughing Razz

The franchise is part of the Telltale-like cinematic breed so don't expect complex gameplay or puzzles, but it's done properly and one can tell that the production values are quality ones. Things will probably get worse in the prequel since Chloe's pesky angst and constantly rebhellalous mood isn't the most relatable subject, and there's also little influence from the player resulting into an experience that feels more static (yes, Episode 3, I'm especially looking at you!). Though if one isn't bothered by the tone, that is a decent addition as well in my opinion, as long as the expectations are kept low and the beanie is inside the wardrobe.

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

since i got a few days off from work (forced to take the remaining vacation of last year...) and got nothing useful to do atm i decided to work on the pile of shame. so i finished this, only played the first episode when it came out

so,uhm, has it moments, but doenst come close to the original lis. ep1 was a good teaser, but 2 and 3 (i exclude farewell) couldnt live up to it. its not a bad "game", but cause we know what will happen and nothing really twisting happens its not great. good to waste a few hours but nothing i would replay in the future

was boring tbh, and after watching some reviews seems that im not alone, has some great moments but it was pointless in the end, could have been much more

but the bonus episode felt like it was done by the original dev, very very good and the ending was spot on and a very sad farewell

i heard that the sequel is an entire new game with new characters, its gonna be hard finding your new chloe and max, chloe and rachel wasnt as good
