Well, if you just rate the visuals and action it was a good episode.
Also it felt like a wannabe episode of The Red Wedding from GoT with all the character killings.
The writing yet again was utter shit:
Haeghmund
Spoiler:
He seemed like the most christian warrior ever. Who also punished himself for sexual thoughts.
But now he fucks Lagertha in her butt, doesn't care for god anymore and helps the heathens.
Ivar
Spoiler:
Him standing and walking nearly straight up without any help seemed very strange. At first i thought it was his dream, but doesn't seem so.
Margreth
Spoiler:
Astrid
Spoiler:
How shit her character turned out, really disappointing I was expecting every episode for her to backstab Harald. Then she just lets herself getting killed because of the baby?
I hope Rollo will join the right side.

hair didn't turn suddenly white after the loss of her lover (shock and all) but that she always looked like this in this season and what we saw was actually how she perceived herself(still youthful etc) , but after she killed the person she loved it destroyed the image she believed to be true and she was no longer young, brave warrior but an old woman. Something like that . I seriously doubt though that it's the case. It would be too deep for this hack writer whatever his name is
2) Ah yes. He could become a great character, it's a shame he was underdeveloped..
And about Ivar.. I loled when he called Lagertha
Spoiler:
a coward or something, for not coming out and fighting him..The dude did literally nothing, just standing there, behind his troops, yelling some shit and making faces, as usual.
Ivar had so much potential (when Ragnar was still alive, their last scenes etc) but they turned him into a one-dimensional annoying cunt.
This season ruined the show for me personally It should have ended with Ragnar's death IMO.
I think Alfred (or maybe Rollo) will save it.
What is really annoying for me though, is the way they split the seasons in 2 parts when each part airs annually the same way as if they were 2 different seasons. "Just a matter of nomenclature" you could say, the thing is their mid-season finales are as uneventful as one can expect from any mid-season finale (example the last one), but you still have to wait a year for the next half

Even after the lukewarm first half of this season I'm looking forward to the second part now that Rollo is coming back, one of my favourite characters along with Lagertha, though the latter has became less interesting lately.
