is re7 gold edition different from the deluxe edition on steam? because... the deluxe edition is a fucking joke, its the exact same price as the base game + season pass, and thats NOT HOW THESE SORTS OF THINGS ARE SUPPOSED TO WORK.
1) Added support for the free content update, "Not A Hero" Campaign
2) Added support for "End of Zoe" DLC
3) Added Steam Achievements specific to "Not A Hero" and "End of Zoe" campaigns
4) Added HDR support for AMD based graphics cards
5) Updated virtual surround system to Yamaha's ViReal system
6) Fixed other minor bugs

I wonder... When sonys VR exclusivity shit is over... You think crapcom will have the balls to release the VR version as a full priced seperate entity rather than just patch in the VR capability for free?
Surely they're looking awful enviously at the shit Bethesda is pulling
1 year wait for a 2 and a half hour expansion? lol
they are ok but still, cd project red made 2 w3 expansions with some 100h gameplay in same time frame
Most of the team probably moved to early concepts for RE8 and maybe RE2make.

I'm finally playing the game, and at least on Madhouse difficulty the teleportation of Jack is utterly retarded. Like he appears in front of you after you just left him behind ALL THE TIME, and I've also seen him twice literally de-spawn in front of my eyes, as the game decided to teleport him elsewhere.
Great game otherwise so far, but I wish Madhouse wasn't like that, and it was just more difficult, not more illogical too.

Regardless of difficulty level the game has a lot of boundaries for AI opponents where you'll melt or de-spawn them if you leave and then they'll re-appear when you return.
Makes it pretty easy to exploit them although some of the rooms are more linear and narrow making escape a bit trickier.
Which also extends to the main family members although they are pretty scripted in how they appear and where and yeah both Jack and the others tend to disappear and re-appear sometimes right in front of the player even if you aren't crossing some invisible boundary.
Gets even sillier in the more open areas and the DLC where you can leave and have the AI de-spawn and return and they pop back out but as the AI doesn't heal up you can use this against them to conserve healing supplies or stay out of their attack range although some areas sees a larger group of enemies heading towards you and you might occasionally have less room to move around in.
Both DLC's are 1 hour long each and only for story purpose. If you really really like the story of the main game (or RE in general I guess) and want to learn some new minor stuff, then it's probably worth it. Otherwise it's just more of the same. Nothing new in them.

There shouldn't be anything missing aside from said discount and possibly VR support if that's still coming to other platforms after PSVR's exclusivity period expires.
Joe was a entertaining character, Chris well Chris is not too different aside from appearance due to the photo scanning tech used.
(Still quite a tank too, though no longer the champion of boxing.)
isnt there a dlc back thats excluded from the season pass? i was under the impression there was going to be a 'complete' edition that would come out, not just a bundle.

No every DLC is included in the season pass and the bundle is the complete edition, pc got the bundle and consoles got the main game+ every dlc on the disc but it's the same, other games have done this as well MGSV for example.
The fuck??? I thought I explored every single room - multiple times. How am I missing 8 files??? 8!!!
edit
How bizarre! I didn't pick up any of the first 5 files in the game??? Why?!

You can unlock x-ray glasses that aid in tracking down missing content, you will likely be surprised with just how much can be missed.
I think these become unlocked just from finishing the game, beating the harder difficulty levels, time limits and whatever other criteria there was again unlocks some additional rewards as per usual in Resident Evil.
EDIT: For the first couple of files I think some of these are on the path to the house itself and easily overlooked but it's been a while since I played through the game now.
Like the DLC though, old man kicks ass.
(Well the last two actually story related bits of content at least ha ha.)
EDIT: I think you might start with some inventory too that then needs to be read before you lose these items?
Forgot exactly how the prologue bit before dinner with dad worked.
Well started a new game to see what are those missing files and I figured what happened; when I started playing RE7, I first played the intro chapter on a laptop. Then I restarted the game on my desktop computer to properly enjoy it. But because I had already experienced the intro I rushed through it. And apparently I didn't pick up any files.
But yeah, all those initial files (including Mia's email as the first!) I did read them when I played the intro on my laptop.
That still means I missed 3 files spread through the latter chapters, or maybe not - who knows if I read them, died, restarted, and didn't read them again? Because as far I am concerned I explored *everything*, and unlike coins and what not, files are not hidden, they are placed in easy to spot places.
