Making obvious grammatical errors is not a mistake, it's simply a "style".

@KillerCrocker

Nobody gives a fuck about your language issues, but I and many others got a very serious issue with it if you're telling others what's right and what isn't with your improper English, if you didn't try to "correct" him in return for fixing your post, I wouldn't have replied.

Oh yeah poor Sausje, he wasn't banned because of several racist remarks and continuously speaking about burning down a refugee camp near his area Laughing He was such a good soul

Apparently a lot of people care about my language "issues", since I hear about it every week. It's people having a problem with it, not me. Most of time I ignore this, but sometimes, I want to calmly explain my point. And people fail to even listen. I don't need agreement...
It's not a mistake if I do it knowing about it.
It's not a mistake if You run into a wall knowing You will break Your fucking nose. It might be stupidity but it's not a mistake !

Oh c'mon with that Sausje bullshit. It's a pirate internet forum, not a political christian church Laughing
Didn't Sin also ended like that at some point?

And one more thing - You are all assholes. See how one stupid "Y" letter can unhinge so many people and they find a problem in that? It's great. I love it and would probably stop doing it years ago if it wasn't brought up so often Laughing
I fail to see how it's that big of a grammatical error. If someone said that "I" should always be capitalized, then why no other random letter like "Y" ? Why not?
What makes somebody else's rules made hundred of years ago more valid than mine?
And I don't see a problem here. You all can understand me perfectly fine, so stop being anal about it or ban me.
It's kinda the same as with religion - Plenty of people believe in magic ghosts without proof because they were risen this way and their parents always did this religion bullshit. So yeah - let's kill or argue those who do not agree with my religion because I cannot think on my own. It is exactly the same problem with the damn "Y". The same principle. Language does not have to be untouchable construct. Especially on internet forum where the only way to show personality is by visible onscreen text, letters and so on.

Yep, always. Ever since 2010 Laughing
It's a stupid rule I've made for myself a sticked with it because it makes everyone furious for like 7 years now.
It's just a purely arbitrary rule. My english is actually very good when I look at what I wrote before I post it... I normally write faster than I think and then edit a lot. Thankfully I've learned to check my work emails twice before sending Laughing
@Morphineus
Not sure what level of English You expect from it's non native speaker. I think my English is very good and it can't get much better. My boss is Brazilian, colleagues are French and Polish. I am speaking the best English of them all.
Sure it's not an American born level but if that ain't a good English for Polish guy, then I don't know what is... Wink

Let's face it, every language has its arbitrary rules, for historic reasons. Let's not add to the confusion by adding new ones willynillyngly.

Most of the hump is non american/british because piracy is lower in those countries and this is a pirate forum (at least at it's origin).
So only poor kurwas come here. I do not pirate games for years now but I still like these boards for gaming news and so on.

You understand that the grammar 'rules' of a language works because these 'rules' are shared. Everyone buys into it and that's how effective communication works. We all can point at an object and say "tree" and everyone is on the same page: tree is the allocated signifier for that external thing. Of course there can be a guy who points at a tree and says "chicken", but he just looks like an idiot. This is of course more extreme than the capitalisation of YYYY but the principle is that you don't get to decide the rules and if you do mess with them don't be surprised when people look at you funny

I agree. Nicely explained and that argument does make sense.

Nalos examples aint bout dem grammars dough! Not that it matters much I think.

Of course if you just deviate a bit from some rules, you won't see problems immediately or at all (e.g. 'You'). Problems get worse if you have too many different deviants and if the changes get greater, which I assume would be more likely if more adopt the attitude of 'writing however they like'. I've heard german derivatives from cool kids, that I simply do not understand. Once I overheard a conversation with such a reduced language, that, for a second, I was a bit impressed, that they were even capable of communication, until I realized that they had difficulties understanding each other Laughing

I do not blame people much for making mistakes, though. Especially with exemptions to rules, which will only seem arbitrary and thus harder to learn. E.g. the past tense of stick is stuck Razz

@ Matr1x
how about a poll or something?
I would not be surprised if poor kurwa countries are not the majority. Kinda like the rich avoiding taxes. Even if there is no need, we still have access Laughing

Well, that would certainly complicate matters. At some point learning a language is all about examples I'd say.

To KCs defense i must say his written english is indeed not too bad.

Way above some other brains here even, that haven't even heard of correct text-formatting, usage of small and capital letters, and puncations. Laughing

Piracy lower in Britain and America? Where is that coming from?
This forum started by mostly UK people and a batch of Dutchies. I know some people think Poland is a rich country... but those two aren't poor kurwas either. Cool Face
