ehhh CA and beta patches. They have a history of not unpublishing the beta patch which means the old beta ones are still active.

They just had a beta patch for Warhammer 2 campaign to fix the chaos invasion, now the full patch is out, the beta one is still active and won't automatically convert. You have to manually disable it and let steam download the correct patch.

My specs:
Ryzen 5950x @ boosting 5ghz, Gigabyte x570 Aorus Master, 128gb G.Skill Trident Neo pc3600 ram, nVidia RTX 5080, SoundBlasterX G6, Samsung 980 Pro m.2 1TB and Hynix m.2 1TB storage SSD. Custom watercooling loop.

Derpsole: Nintendo Switch, Derpstation 5 Pro

Does CreamAPI work with Rome II as well?

I'm thinking of finally buying this game, but don't wanna pay for all the DLCs.

I don't think so.

Something about CEG or whatever.

I just play a cracked version of it, don't feel like buying a campaign for that game tbh.

Ugly faces and all Smile

The last playthrough, after many many hours, civil wars breaks out.

Of my 10 Full Legions, 9 turn against me...

I have 1 freaking legion left and most of my provinces have turned as well, with a full stack of them next to Rome lol.

GG

I only wanted to buy the game (apart from the DLCs) because of the mods. I know I can get them to work on a cracked copy as well, but getting everything (game included) up to date is a major pain in the ass.

This game is actually a lot better than I ever thought it was. I guess the new patch does indeed add some more depth Smile

So after 5 years, is the game finally playable? Very Happy
I'm playing TW Warhammer 1 at the moment, which is fun but I still prefer the historic settings. Only tried Rome 2 briefly but couldn't really get into it at the time.

This is an eternal debate. Depends on which time period you prefer, really.

I've just reinstalled Attila, but couldn't really get into it -- although I have hardly had time to.

Still, I'm getting the itch to play Rome 2 again.

I'd say yarr both, and see which one you like.

so just because they re-added what was in shogun 2 end game where everyone automaticly turned against u, inlcuding vasals from the start of the campaign , when u got to big, its now all fine again ?

nah, no thanks, its a stupid end game "mechanic", one lazy line of code, turn friendly to unfriendly -200 relationships and bam, complete new feature lol

fuck them ...

You have control over that now. You see the different factions and how prone they are to secede or to start a civil war. So you can a) use their traits (each political faction has 3 random traits which give bonuses or maluses to certain actions or other and b) you can even provoke a political faction to secede, making it a lot easier to handle.

Of course, if you don't pay attention, you can still end up with a civil war, but if you do care just a little, that shouldn't happen anymore.

What additional gameplay elements do you mean / expect? There's plague and food and the coming of the Ice Age (or what... always foud that stupid) in Attila, but that's about it, I think.

I suppose Rome II in its current state is actually very enjoyable. Plus it runs a helluva lot better than Attila.

Q) What new content comes with Total War: ROME II – Empire Divided?

A) Total War: ROME II – Empire Divided brings a brand new grand-scale Campaign Pack to Total War: ROME II with brand new campaign features such as cults, banditry and plagues. Ten different playable factions across five cultures including new heroic factions with elaborate victory conditions, custom event chains and famous leaders from the era. New period specific events, dilemmas, missions, restructured technologies and unique new buildings.

I wonder if all these festures are only in the "Empire Divided" Campaign or if some of that stuff will also be available in the Grand Campaign itself.

Or only if you bought the DLC...

Quote:
The Power & Politics Update

Q) What is the Power & Politics Update?

A) The Power & Politics Update is a large piece of Free-LC content that completely overhauls the politics system and adds a variety of new political actions for your campaign to give a far greater meaning to how you deal with other politics parties and government types. Your party can gain influence and political support by completing missions and winning victories on the battle field. The re-worked political system will allow the player to exercise direct impact on the campaign gameplay through their political actions.

Anyway, the game is a lot better just with the p&p patch (you can optin in steam).

If you own Rome II, you can choose to have one of 3 DLCs (WoS, Black Sea Colonies, or Nomadic Culture Pack) free of charge via Total War Access.

Offer runs until Xmas.

I had played the tutorial some time ago and when I realised that you need a general to move an army my jaw dropped to the ground, is it a problem? How are things in this regard?

Of course, it was a little annoying in the older games when you and the computer had to move 1-unit "armies" between cities, like in Shogun 2. I remember depending ont he buildings I was recruiting 1 unit at a time in several cities and each turn babysitting them, moving them towards the front .... I guess they tried to fix it that way?

Playing Warhammer, and that mechanic is also there. Far as I know, several TW games in the past had it as well.
