Last week I had to pay aprox €1000 cos one of my cats had an uterus infection. Well worth the money though.
Today i need to visit the Vet again to put down one of my other cats. She is 18 Sad

18 sounds like a damn long life for a cat. Try to focus on the good parts.

You have my condolences of course. Losing a pet, and a cat being the bestest of animals ever, is tough for me as well Sad

See, you even rescued her. Try to be happy that you improved her life!

My parents always told me that Smile. Never really managed to keep me happy about their passing Sad, but still Smile. Lovable creatures these cats.

For a urinary infection? I meant it seems expensive for the particular service, not like the cat got a 'Darth Vader' full body upgrade.

No, not an urinary infection it was a uterus infection which required surgery.

The 18 year old cat died in my arms last night Sad

Awww, always a tragedy to lose a trusty companion.
18 yo is quite the long life for a purrball!
Anyway, rest assured, she's in kitty heaven now Smile

Damn right! I bet she's hanging out with my old Sofia (she was a 18+ senior kitten as well) completely bossing the place and satisfying all the feline vices just like they did among us puny humans.

Stay strong Ankh...these are sad days Sad, but eventually the grief will go away and will be replaced by all the good memories that you have about her <3

Sure man, us animal lovers know the heartbreak Sad

If I may, this is my Lion (he lives at my mom's, since I can't give him the liberty to roam spaces where I live), but I rescued and "raised" him. My mother gives me shit because I often come over less to see her than to see him Very Happy )
He's 17, and although he's the neighbourhood kitty mobster, he's getting really old, and often comes back with *undisclosed wildlife* bite marks, or scratches.
He's not able to defend himself as he used to, I guess (but he's still chasing the rainbows in the country-side at large, it seems Smile )

So, even though he's like a son to me, and even though I wish for him to become eternal, there are increasing signs of him kicking the bucket one of these days...

Here's the little rascal, a week ago:

Sorry if you felt like I stepped on your thread, Ankh, but I felt like it was the place to talk about it.

Keep on trucking anyway mate, I know it's a hard one.
