Well, I bought that game for 30 bucks on steam, I doubt I will get a key for less at the actual time of release.
I want to play it anyway, so why not back them now with some money, not eager to start right now though, game seems to be a real alpha with limited features.
I have TWWH2 - Battlefront 2 and Shadows or War as 'next' on my list anyway, so I guess I'll have a first look in December and just follow the progress. However, they seem to 'need' the money NOW for development and I can afford the 30€, there are just a few games like this and they deserve support in my opinion.
Star Citizen is smth I will buy 'when it's done', well...IF it's ever 'done'...that is.
Go for it unless you want to actually play it in its current state. Buying into EA is generally a bad idea since there's no guarantee how the game will turn out in the end (or if it will turn out at all ).

If it's now EEA, I'm not sure if they just haven't made it any better, or how many E's I would need to add to my statement.

The Guild 3 development has been taken over by a newly formed developer called Purple Lamp Studios.
To make sure, The Guild 3 will leave Early Access In due course, an additional development Studio, called Purple Lamp, which is based in Vienna, will add its expertise to the project. Purple Lamp is a newly formed studio, consisting of veteran developers, who have worked on various titles before at Austrian publisher/developer Sproing, among others.
Still curious to see how the final game will be, I really liked the first Guild.
It's a very unique game, almost a genre by itself. With the dynasty element, I always thought it's almost like CK2 but on a much smaller scale.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
