Halo SPV3 is a total overhaul of the Halo 1 campaign for the PC that has just been released.
This mod comes with new weapons, enemies, vehicles, areas to explore and levels, as well as easter eggs and skulls which add new twists onto the gameplay.
In order to run this mod, you’ll need these three things:
- Halo Combat Evolved PC (Needs to be a legit version with a CDKEY)
- Halo Custom Edition (A unshackled version of Halo PC)
- Open Sauce (Allows for engine extensions)

The team behind this mod has released the following video, showcasing how you can install Halo SPV3:
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
I wish, that wouldn't be bad. They just made it ugly.

big part of halo is the synergy of weapons and enemies. there's no perfect weapon for every encounter. adding new crap sounds like a bad idea in the context of such a game.
I wish there was a way to remove the floaty approximative shooting, consolish movements/interface and bland level design.
I could never manage to finish the game because of the aforementioned reasons, these blokes should keep the AI and iconic Master Chef, and rebuild the game from scratch in a way that doesn't play like a virtual rubber whack-a-mole.
these days I think only digital homicide would dare copy pasta so much
Exactly haha, that one was the last straw. I remember back in the early 2000s when the Halo fever was rampant, I got a cynical post of mine published on a famous gaming magazine in Italy which sparked a lot of controversy on their forums, people acting like I offended their god, burn the witch, the 'but it's the best shooter of all time arguements', it was hilarious in its own melancholic way
@ixigia
I guess it's really a Like/Love or Dislike/Hate relationship with the Halo games.
Personally i still have very fond and enjoyable memories when i played Halo 1 for the first time.
The story was and still is clichee as hell, but something of the games universe and the gameplay still excited me.
Is the Library a level where you enter some identical halls at some points? At one such room, I thought I went backwards by mistake. But strangely ... there were enemies?!
Then I realised thqt there is come copy pasta going on and with the lack of texture variety and room detailing it makes it seem very repetitive. It was probably due to Xbox limitations.
I wouldn't mind going through the game once more but this mod will be unbalqnced and clunky, I fear. As usual with modder efforts.

I personally have fond memories of it because it was the game we played in the highschool dorms, stoned out of our minds. coop on legendary and split screen deathmatch. every day for around 2 years The only period in my life when I spent more than 5 minutes at a time on a console.
but it's undeniable that bungie squeezed in as much copy pasta as possible. aside from the library, there are two levels which are literally just going from a to b, then back to A.
Then you have another Bungie game from that time ONi, and it has a very similar pattern or asset reuse. I still remember this computer console prop, which also was used as a container when inverted. they actually painted a computer screen on one side, and a container door on the other, and simply turned the prop around as needed, making the other side stick to the wall in order to avoid closer inspection. but they didn't fool me

yeah, the whole level is a giant copy paste of a circular corridor and a middle spherical room.
