"Hi, hyped for our upcoming new game? Here's the ending twist! Have fun! ❤"
Though yeah Shadow of Mordor already hinted at something with it's ending as did that ghost-elf DLC so I can kinda guess what's going to happen but we'll see I suppose.
Give it a few hours and it'll probably be out on Youtube too skipping endless grinding and nagging from the game to buy more orcs from the online ring store.
EDIT: Though since they sexified Shelob of all things (Or something like that.) I wonder how much canon this can actually be.
(On the plus side she might be handy with rope, on the negative though spiders are known to literally suck things dry.)
(...Shibari Shelob? )
It's WB's biggest marketing campaign and seems to work well for them. The pre-order number has already crossed Arkham Knight's number and they are very happy with it.
Quote:
“[Our sales expectations] are massive,” he told MCV. “Top Five or Top Ten massive. We’ve never had such an investment in one game and in a marketing campaign, and we believe that we have the right product in order to seduce a mass audience.
He continued: “Pre-orders are pretty strong. They are above what we had for Batman: Arkham Knight and we are very happy with what we have.”
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
I wouldn't be too sure, good marketing and doing regular updates such as new media and stuff like previews or interviews or having some bigger Youtube or Twitch channel showcase the game a bit could probably draw in a lot of sales.
It's multi-platform too and they might be able to utilize the PS4 Pro and upcoming XBox X too so I can see the game getting a lot of pre-orders even if the general user reviews might end up being a bit more mixed.
Will be interesting to see how the game is received though WB probably has things pretty planned out already with post-launch content and the like, in-game stores are surprisingly effective and popular too.
(Hell there are people who have bought everything on the Star-Citizen shop or invested heavily in property for Shroud of the Avatar and those games aren't even finished yet.)

I think i already know how the ratings for this on Steam will look like.

It's so shitty what they're doing, and it's especially sad to do it with such a great fantasy universe as LOTR, if it was fucking harry potter i couldnt have cared less.. LOTR is almost like a religion for us fantasy nerds

If you have the £3.99 DLC, Forthog will on occasion appear to one-hit kill whichever enemy the player character is up against. Think the Mysterious Stranger from the Fallout series.
WB Games will donate $3.50 of every Forthog Orc-Slayer purchase to the Forgey family through 31st December 2019, Monolith said.

Immortalised as a microtransaction more like... why the fuck couldn't they just put a thing like that in the game?! It's nice of them and all but why is it a fucking DLC?! For fuck's sake, this world...
