I was testing the Abzuyarr method (worked great here) and started playing before dinner, ready to experience a memorable journey. After approximately one hour spent pressing one single button, the game was already over
And to think that the gorgeous art-style and soundtrack form such an amazing combo. It's a shame that there's practically no gameplay whatsoever here, it's fundamentally a w̶a̶l̶k̶i̶n̶g swimming simulator where you just proceed undisturbed in a straight line without offering anything worthwhile, if we exclude the beautiful colorful vistas with all the fishbros surrounding you.
Those $100k should have definitely been used to introduce rudimentary gameplay mechanics instead of raising the not-so-useful mah protesciun shields. 505, game not found.

Man i would be pissed off if i paid that sum for this game. It was beautiful for sure, but for such a short game they had absolutely zero imagination gameplay wise. Everything was repeated over and over.
Spoiler: | Did i catch the story right? Exploring a technologically confused civilization that turned humans into robots or put souls into robots, and you powered yourself up by some kind of magic to become strong enough to wipe out the remaining technology that is currently hurting nature? |

Yup, definitely it's something along those lines (although it's open to different interpretations as always).
From what I understood:
Spoiler: |
It all was the triangle-mother-brain's fault, which was trying to destroy the ocean/collect all the fishes, and the Diver (who happens to be a droid) decides to go against his "creator " and joins all the animals (including the Shark, who is seen as an enemy initially) in order to defeat the threat and restore the environment.
I believe the resurrection of the Shark happens because of one of those portals that emit magical mana, and the Diver himself 'accidentally' gains superpowers, a pretty conventional narrative trick but it works..sort of. |
@Horny: Haha, indeed

Given the popularity of alien remover in AI, or monster removing mods in SOMA. Maybe press one button gameplay is just what fans of thia genre are looking for?

People are getting too used to watching others play so they lose all their will and skill in the process.
