Well it runs okay for me. 1080p with DSR, everything maxed. 60 fps (rivatuner, not "eye measure")

It drops lower than 60 fps on my rig when maxed out at 1920x1200 which is unacceptable for this kind of graphics. I had to set shadows to medium.

Yes but a 1080Ti not running this game with solid 60fps is not acceptable, we are talking here now the best gaming card you can get. If the devs are so incompetent these days, so they cannot code their shit that it runs on best hardware 60fps, maybe they should start thinking leave the business and go work to mcdonalds or something.

during initial game launch and savegame loading? Did you wonder why game loading times are so long - here is the answer
In previous games like Sgw3, Nier, Prey there were only about 1000 "triggers" called, so we have x300 here.
Next - 300,000 called "triggers" were just warmup for Denuvo, after 30 minutes of gameplay it became 2 fucking MILLIONS of
called "triggers". Protection now calls about 10-30 triggers every second during actual gameplay, slowing game down.
In previous games like Sgw3, Nier, Prey there were only about 1-2 "triggers" called every several minutes during gameplay, so do the math.
Don't forget that triggers is under VM and heavily obfuscated, which obviously does not improve perfomance" |
Yeah so much for Denuvo not affecting legit users...
|
Speaking of Which, that's also pretty much a huge blow to "Denuvo not hurting performances" crap arguments we heard for years now From Denuvo and other people, And huge blow to Denuvo's reputation.
We just need more and more games getting cracked and people comparing performances.
Thank 100x times Baldman , For confirming that truth by straightly telling it.
What would you expect? The fucking protection heavily using the VM,It would be
NECESSARY slow down things at some degree, Also they are the same guys who made
"SecuR"OM.

Get the CODEX version or wait for the developers to release the denuvo-less version?

So did anyone actually do benchmarks (other than Denuvo) or we are just supposed to believe anything this baldman guy says?

Spoiler: | RiME v1.01 update
Hi everybody,
We wanted to give you an update regarding the use of Denuvo anti-tamper software in RiME. Today, we got word that there was a crack which would bypass Denuvo. Upon receiving this news, we worked to test this and verify that it was, in fact, the case. We have now confirmed that it is. As such, we at Team Grey Box are following through on our promise from earlier this week that we will be replacing the current build of RiME with one that does not contain Denuvo. Please make sure your PC version of RiME has been updated, if it has not done so automatically.
Team Grey Box is also committed both to supporting the games we publish and to our player base, so this is definitely not the final update you will see with RiME. We are currently working on our first traditional patch, which we are aiming to release next week. This patch will provide a fix for the VR initialization bug, and will also provide a fix to some specific instances of hardware-related crashes, among other updates which will be detailed at the time. We sincerely thank players who have reported issues, and a special thanks to those who have worked with us to provide additional details, DxDiag files, and the like. We want to continue giving you the best product we possibly can.
Please feel free to reach out to us with any additional questions or concerns you may have. Thanks again for your continued support! |

I was thinking the same. Is there any data, other than what Baldman has show, that supports his findings?

Maybe it's due to the fact that 1.01 does improve performances because of other fixes and not because of Denuvo removal though.
I'm not sure what Baldman did (didn't check), but if he did remove Denuvo, you can do a proper benchmark using his crack I guess.

The update changelog mainly statement about Denuvo's removal and other fixes need to take sometime..
Its been confirmed by the devs themselves that update been applied becuase of Denuvo being cracked and more updates to fix more things will come soon.

Yeah I did indeed try the first release with denuvo. Hence my comments about abysmal performance.
I have to admit that I didn't try bringing down a notch the AA options before actually doing it on the non-denuvo version.
Maybe performance would of been the same.
Anyone tried bringing down an notch AA option to TXAA on denuvo version ?

After TXAA is SSAA so if that's what you were using that would likely explain the performance problems a bit although the game still runs poorly even without it.
So SSAA? Super sampling anti-aliasing which here I believe it's a 2x2 (4x) increase of your select screen resolution so if you're playing the game at 1920x1080 it's effectively 3840x2160 and if you're at 2560x1440 it's effectively 5120x2880 and so on.
TXAA I'm not too sure what that is, the .dll library for Nvidia Gameworks only has HBAO(+) so I'm assuming it's just incorrectly labeled UE4 temporal AA.
And FXAA is just the shader fast approximate anti aliasing, I prefer SMAA myself but FXAA isn't too bad though a bit softer.

I still had drops below 60 fps with TXAA.
The game is uninstalled though. If you make a walking simulator then at the very least it should look fantastic graphics-wise.
This game? It looks pretty mediocre and runs poorly.

I like the game so far, but it runs like shit. I'm having sub-30 framerates @ 1080p on a gtx 1060 and I didn't even set everything to max. Terrible port.

The fact the game is gonna be ported to the Nintendo Switch makes this even more of a shame...
