Source? I'm 99% sure they are not doing that. They've mentioned veterans will get some kind of token tribute, but there will be no porting over progression of any kind.

There is no wiping of anything. You can play the original game/ruleset and keep what you already have. You have to start again in Legends, because while it's the same setting, the game is different, with slightly better combat. Although I got bored after 5 mins for some reason...
There's a completely new tutorial level, and you have the ubiquitous dodge mechanics found in other newish MMORPG's.

I'll definitely give this a go. Besides ESO, this is the one MMO with interesting story lines and dialogue.
In fact, I think ESO is the closest to Secret World that you can get: the game doesn't involve grinding, it's very story focused, can easily be played solo, has an interesting world that feels good, interesting NPCs, lots of quality voice acting, pretty fluid combat with a fluid skill system as well, etc.

I don't think I got that far - I played the first zones and if I did all the side quests, I was easily strong enough to continue.

Like in most MMOs, the real grinding starts when reaching the end game. So if you didn't get there, you can't really judge how grindy the game was.

Just checked it out. Chose Gunslinger and I think the combat is even worse then before, lol. Shooting is completely fucked up and feels really weird. Plus, game still has performance issues and looks like shit. Uninstalled and forgotten.

So, played a couple of hours and well, combat is better sure, but it is still the same story and game.
And it has a top story and setting and everything, but if you went through the entire thing, then going through it again isn't really appealing. Not to me anyway.
If you play through the same quests and missions as before and you already know by heart the answers to the riddles, it's just not the same thing.
So If you haven't played TSW before, give it a go, otherwise, it may very well bore you, as it is my case and I really love the whole story and setting, but I cannot go through the entire thing AGAIN for no good reason.

The game is worst for me. The cursor didn't actually make the combat better in any meaningful way. They've took out most of the creativity and enjoyment out of the skill system. Some of the weapon gimmicks are just RNG procs. I mean why even bother having 2 weapon system when the skills and passives now are so specific to another skill or weapon? The F2P system is awful, worst than TOR if ignoring the hotbar limitation bollocks.

There still the original version of the game. So far I'm enjoying it I will see how it fares later in the game when you had to kite a monster from other mobs so you wouldn't be swarmed.
