Sup gang?

I'd like to add an electro beat to these "lyrics":

What would be the best program to isolate a sick beat and add those magical sentences to them?

Thanks!

(not what you were looking for)

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Pro Tools or Cubase , i'd say
I would recommend Cubase because i find it easier to use and you can put any plugin you find on the internet which is nice
Pro tools have a better sound engine which means the rendering of the final wave will be slightly higher quality ( you cannot notice the difference unless you have side by side comparason and really good studio monitors) but downside is pro tools only accepts its own plugin formats which you need to get from their store.
If you plan to go "yarrrrr" i would deffinetly recommend Cubase 8 and some electronic music plugins ( search for them on the webs , there are a lot of good free ones) and you good to go Very Happy

LE: Also there is Logic pro which i find it best for elecronic music because it has a lot of built in plugins and features for that kind of style but it only runs on Mac OS

So Cubase it is then Very Happy
Thanks for taking the time man.
I'm looking for something not too overwhelming, would Cubase do the trick? Or rather Logic Pro?
I'm just looking to make an acceptable yet rather simple kind of sample+mix.
Again, thanks Smile

Well the thing is the DAW (digital audio workstation , things like cubase , pro tools , logic is a DAW) is not the problem when it comes to complicated or simple , is true that some DAW's are more accesible also limited
What you need is simple to use plugins , the DAW itself is not hard to work with , some features and menus are indeed a bit hard to find but you will find everything you need to use on youtube tutorials or simple google search
The plugins itself will provide you with simplicity if they are build in such manner
Some plugins (usually not free , even tho you can find them on some shady websites) are very difficult to use but they are destined for PRO usage where every little change on a freq will make a difference to the trained ear
What you need is simple to use plugins
A drum plugin ,you can use EzDrummer, this is a "natural acoustic feel" drum plugin but i'm sure you can find the electronic equivalent or slap some synth effects on this one and be just fine
Then you need a synth plugin that is easy to use , this is the meat of your mix since you want electronic music , there are plenty of basic simple yet good plugins
And for good measure you need a virtual instrument plugin , those come as a bundle e.g. "chords virtual instruments" or "brass virtual instruments" (you get the idea) or they come as their own thing like acoustic spanish guitar plugin or whatever

If you find a good synth ( an easy google seatch for easy to use synth plugin should do ) you should be able to achive all you need , synth and a drum track

Also if you are begining try to not use too many tracks because you will most likely ruin your mix because there are too many tracks with little problems that acumulate in a lot of weird noise and a muddy mix in general

You should have a drum track and 4-5 instrument tracks for a beginer , and you should be fine

ALSO VERY IMPORTANT , make sure that your output is at about -10db ( and no , this is not achived by lowering the output fader, your track faders should accumulate to an about -10db , betwen -10 and -5) i know this is low volume but in the mixing stage this is very important if you want to have a good sounding mix , unless you want to do a dank style mix , if yes go for as much as possible Very Happy

The proper volume is done in mastering stage , you do this on the exported wave file not on your mix ! I highly recommend Drawmer S73 for your compression and overall clarity (this plugin is automated and will do everrything for you by itself you just need to select the preset you want ,also this is not free but you can find it if you search for it *wink* ) Aradaz maximizer (this will increase your overall volume with how much amount you want and is free) and Jb Barricade (cant remember if this is a free plugin or i bought it) you use this to not let your output to clip and distort your sound ( 0db means cliping)

If you need more help just ask and i will try to help you as much as i can , i usually mix acoustic instruments and metal music in general so my knowledge is a bit limited when it comes to electronic stuff but i will try to help you as much as i can Smile

LE. I forgot to tell you that instead of using plugins you can use samples for your different sounds, instruments and so on, this is waaay easier since you dont need to know how to compose your sutff , just combine samples till it sounds good just make sure they are in the same key and tempo
Or you can use a combo of plugins and samples
There should be a sample plugin that will help you build your mix super easily if you dont want to download audio samples in your computer then import them into your DAW , i never used one but there should be something like this out there

Nomather what you use the part with -10fb and mastering remains true

out of sig inspiration for the moment Okay
